    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC MOTD: "We managed to rotate and freshen the team up a bit. Those who came in did really, really well.

"We scored two very good goals and in the second half, credit to Luton they are a really good side and difficult to play against but overall a win and another clean sheet and in a couple of days we play again.

"To have a squad they have to play. We have to make those decisions. The contribution they make to the team was very good.

"Now we recover and go again because we have Brighton away."

On Luton: "As a manager you are always looking at it and analysing and they make it really tough for you, credit to them. I wish them the best because they are a very likeable team.

"We want to be at the top, winning our games is the only thing we can do."

City want another here and Jack Grealish flashes one across the six-yard box but there's a bit too much power on it and no one can make the decisive touch to tuck it away.

We've seen some incredible goals tonight but this is the pick of the bunch!

Initially Phil Foden goes down on the edge fo the box and wants a free kick from the referee, but doesn't get it. He then reclaims the ball and smacks it across Robin Olsen into the far top left hand corner.

Puts it right where the net is pulled back, right where Vincent Kompany's shot went in some years ago to win the club the league title.

    What a strike!

It's all a bit scrappy on the edge of the area and Phil Foden is originally asking for a free-kick. Referee says no and City win it back.

Julian Alvarez leaves the loose ball for Foden, who cuts in on his left foot and fires into the top corner from around 25-yards out.

An absolute rocket to bring up his hat-trick.

That is just Phil Foden all over this year.

He has spoken recently about how he has changed his approach in front of goal this year, not rushing things, considering chances and deciding whether to play the ball off or take it on himself.

He is two yards inside the box, ball comes to him on his left foot and he sweeps the ball into the far corner.

Such a calm, composed finish from Foden.

    Phil Foden (62 mins)

It's a brilliant finish from Phil Foden but it's Rodri who does all the work. Slaloming through the field to the edge of the area and dummying round Moussa Diaby.

He lays it off for Foden, who takes a touch then calmly sweeps in off the far post.

If City needed a warning they have just had two in quick succession there.

First with a quick break up field through Moussa Diaby and Douglas Luiz and then with Clement Lenglet from the corner.

Two good saves from Stefan Ortega to deny both chances.

This is where Aston Villa are dangerous, they break with speed on the counter attack and they've got bodies in space around the area.

Not really accurate to say Luton are ‘ as bad as’ Everton and Forest. In footballing terms Everton are on 32 points playing 1 fewer games than Luton. Forest are on 29 points having played the same. That’s a 10 point and 7 point gap in terms of points actually earned. Regardless whether you agree with the points deductions, they distort the true ‘footballing’ picture.

It is no disrespect to Luton but Arsenal haven't really broken a sweat in this second half. The gulf in quality is apparent.

Arsenal have been very comfortable here, three big points, minutes into the legs across the squad. Mikel Arteta will be very happy.

Jeremy Doku picks up the ball out on the right and gets a shot away but Robin Olsen beats it away.

Moments later, Phil Foden sees the gap in the Villa backline and slots through for Bernardo Silva, who turns and shoots but again Olsen is on hand to keep the deficit to just one.
