Initially you watch and think, how has that gone in? How has Robin Olsen got his wall so wrong?

But on a second look you see Nicolo Zaniolo and Morgan Rogers turn inwards and leave a gap for the ball to go through.

The goalkeeper got his wall right but the wall didn't stand its ground. The keeper will be fuming.

  7. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Aston Villapublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 3 April

    Phil Foden (40+1 mins)

Well Julian Alvarez and Jack Grealish were also lingering around to take the free-kick but it's Phil Foden who steps up and smacks into the back of the net.

It's a lovely finish but the Aston Villa wall pretty much breaks apart to give Foden a clear path to goal and there's nothing Robin Olsen can do about that as it nestles in the back of the net.

  8. Postpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 3 April

Tahith Chong has looked bright since coming on. Luton are not giving up on getting back into this but you sense Arsenal have another gear to go up to should they need it.

  9. Postpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 3 April

    Man City 1-1 Aston Villa

Douglas Luiz needs to be a bit careful here. He's already on a yellow card and he gives away another free-kick in a dangerous area. This time for a challenge on Phil Foden.

Will Julian Alvarez fancy his chances with this one?

Ivan Toney fancies his chances of scoring from a free-kick that is some way out. He hits it with plenty of power but it is always rising over the bar.

    Man City 1-1 Aston Villa

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Watching the two managers down on the touchline is fascinating. They are both so animated it is as exciting as watching the game itself.

City have got the press right, they have dominated the large part of the half, got the possession right. The one thing they will be warned to be wary of by Pep Guardiola is the conter attack, which is where the Villa goal came from.

    Arsenal 2-0 Luton

That's it anyway for Kai Havertz as he and Thomas Partey head off.

  16. 'Grealish draws in so many players it allows others space to work'published at 20:54 British Summer Time 3 April

    Man City 1-1 Aston Villa

    Theo Walcott
Former Arsenal and Southampton forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jack Grealish likes to come onto the ball and attract fouls. At times he has three or four players around him, and gets kicked. I experienced it the same during my career.

His driving forward with the ball draws so many players in it allows room for the likes of Phil Foden, Kevin de Bruyne and the rest to work in.

City win a free-kick after Rodri is brought down and they look to take it quickly and get on the break.

Jack Grealish drives forward and Douglas Luiz brings him down just outside the area. This time it's the Villa man who gives away the free-kick and gets his own name in the referee's book.

One a piece in that battle.

  19. Postpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 3 April

Around 10 minutes to go until half time and it's been an entertaining half so far.

Patient build-up play from City pays off as Rico Lewis eventually sees the opening and threads through for Julian Alvarez. The Argentinian forces Robin Olsen into a decent save.
