On whether he is allowed to train

No. They said 'you can't do anything until we get to the bottom of this'. Because I feel so fine and normal within myself, that is probably the hardest bit. I really want to go out and do some exercise and keep fit. It's good for the mental health more than anything.

I'm not allowed to do that. I've just been playing a lot of golf. My brother has an electric bike and I went out on that. The second I went around the corner and my Dad couldn't see me, he was beside himself. These are the things you don't think about because it just feels so normal.

As a Forest fan I’m watching Luton's next two games very closely. It’s mixed emotions. Success for them heightens our chance of relegation, and yet if there was any team that deserved to stay up due to the fight and passion of the club, it’s Luton.

I made Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke triple-captain of my fantasy team this week, because they were playing this game as well as Sheffield United on Saturday.

I did warn Cherries fans before the weekend that would mean something would go wrong for Solanke and, typically, it did.

He won a penalty against the Blades... and then missed it. You couldn't make it up and, on the basis that I've jinxed him, he won't score in this game either - although obviously I hope I'm wrong!

This is a massive week for Luton, who play relegation rivals Nottingham Foreston Saturday and will go above them, and climb out of the bottom three on goal-difference or goals scored, going into that game if they win on the south coast first.

I always think Luton have a goal in them - the last time they failed to find the net in a Premier League game was against Manchester United on 11 November - so I think they will score, but I'm going with Bournemouth to edge it.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-1

On the events of 16 December

My mum and brother always listen to every game on the radio back home. They were in the living room and Bournemouth scored so my Mum had gone out of the room to make a drink. By the time she came back into the room, my brother had turned off the radio. She's like 'what's going on here?'

He's had to say to her 'Tom has collapsed off the ball'. That was horrible for her to hear and just helpless to the whole situation, so far away not knowing what to do. Not knowing if I'm ok.

Treasurer of Luton Town Supporters Trust Les Miller speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live on the mood among Luton fans: "We all said ahead of the season that if we finished 17th it would be the equivalent of a lot of other clubs winning the title.

"Most people would have expected us to be behind both Burnley and Sheffield United given the gap between us and them at the end of last season. We got off to a slow start, but since then we seem to have got used to the division, and it seems to be a case of 'attack is the best form of defence.'

"It would be nice to stay up and do it without anything to do with points deductions for other sides, so we could say we did it ourselves. But if we have to rely on them we will take it!"

On whether he has looked back on the 16 December footage

Straight away I was like 'let's have a look then, what actually happened?'. There's a numbness to it all. It's hard to draw any real emotion from it. The only time I have had emotion to the whole thing is walking out at the Kenny [Kenilworth Road on 30 January] before the Brighton game when all the fans gave me that reception. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that. I was like 'wow'. I don't know how I didn't cry. I definitely had tears in my eyes.

Bournemouth fans with long memories may recall the atmosphere of playing a League Cup tie at Watford in 2003 days after Hornets loanee Jimmy Davis was killed in a car crash, while in recent years the Cherries have played games on Merseyside coinciding with anniversaries of the Hillsborough tragedy.

But this one will feel different, closer to home, although it involved a visiting player.

The clubs and supporters’ groups have worked together to offer support to fans at Wednesday’s game, with mental health first aiders around the stadium, while Cherries supporters have crowdfunded the cost of some Luton supporters’ coaches for the rearranged game.

So the bond between these two clubs is not in doubt. But there is still the matter of Premier League points at stake in a game being closely followed by Luton’s relegation rivals.

Watching Everton, Luton Town and Sheffield United on Saturday underlined just how competitive the Premier League is. Nobody has given up down at the bottom and no three points can ever be taken for granted.

Luton battled to the very death against Crystal Palace to win a point in the 96th minute. Everton had more possession, chances and endeavour than Manchester United at Old Trafford and although there is a distinct lack of quality in front of goal, the spirit is there in bucketfuls.

Sheffield United might have buckled after the embarrassing 6-0 home hammering by Arsenal, but no, they were back down at Bournemouth going 2-0 up before succumbing to a late equaliser.

The teams at the bottom are all fighting, and each is dangerous. They keep the entire division honest, and they deserve applause for that alone. Who knows, one of them might even decide the title in the end.

Frustration was the overriding feeling among Bournemouth fans on Saturday. In one breath, the Cherries overcame a two-goal deficit to gain a point; yet in the other, it was a failure to beat a bottom-of-the-league side on our own turf.

It left many fans wondering where we need to strengthen. We’re creating plenty of offensive moments without capitalising, so are more goalscorers needed in the squad? Or should a couple of goals at home be enough to earn maximum points? In which case, is it the other end of the pitch that needs tightening up?

Neto is our number one and captain who shows clear leadership qualities, but he’s spent the majority of his career as a number two. Does he need better competition?

On whether it is his dream still to play again

Yes. It's way too early to say [whether it will happen]. Ultimately I'll be led by the advice of the specialists. If there is any sliver of doubt I don't think they will let me play. If there is a chance to play again, I'd love to.

I have worked my whole career to try and reach the top. I've played non-league, League Two, League One, the Championship and I've finally got to the Premier League.

I just want more of it. It's out of my hands unfortunately and I will be ultimately led by what they [specialists] say.

Back in December Luton travelled to the Vitality Stadium in need of a win having slipped into the bottom three, five points adrift of Nottingham Forest in 17th place.

The visitors made an ideal start taking the lead inside three minutes. Forward Elijah Adebayo nodded in Alfie Doughty's corner to score what was his third goal in as many games.

Hosts Bournemouth drew level just before the hour mark. Lead marksman Dominic Solanke capitalising on a defensive error to slot home from a corner, for what was then a fifth goal in six games.

The teams were taken off midway through the second half with the score level at 1-1.
