Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan tells BBC Scotland: "It's a real tough one. It probably goes to show the first goal in any Championship game is vital. It felt like their goal was their first chance of the evening.

"We threw the kitchen sink at Raith right at the end. It just felt like one of those nights where nothing was landing. When it's going against you, it's going against you.

"We know we were the better side tonight. A sore one, but you don't have time to dwell on things. We have to be resilient and come back stronger.

I can't stop thinking about that chance off the post at the end. Will we look back on it as a pivotal moment in the title race?

Ian Murray admitted he "felt sick" watching the ball bobble around with seconds to spare.

I imagine some Dundee United fans might have felt the same...

Raith Rovers manager Ian Murray tells BBC Scotland: "It was very difficult to come off the back of the derby game. Towards the end, Partick did put us under pressure but we had our chances as well.

"Clean sheets are so, so important. This is the time of season to pick them up. For us, it's about hanging on to Dundee United. Defensive performances like we put in tonight are very welcome.

"We know there's bumps in the roads to come, there's loads of twists along the way, but we're chalking the games off."

That's got me thinking, I wonder who does have the biggest head in Scottish football.

Euan Murray won't mind a big dome as long as he sticks more goals away like he did tonight.

  9. 'We can only focus on ourselves' - Murraypublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2024

FT: Partick Thistle 0-1 Raith Rovers

Raith Rovers goalscorer Euan Murray tells BBC Scotland: "We managed to grind it out and find a way to win. We're there or thereabouts.

"Obviously they [Dundee United] are a great team, but we can only focus on ourselves.

"I've probably got one of the biggest heads in Scottish football, so I'm pleased to get on the end of one and score."

That wasn't the classic we expected, but the drama at the end was immense.

How Raith hung on, I'll never know. But they did!

    Kenny Miller

    Partick Thistle will be disappointed.

They were the better side in the first half and had all the pressure in the second.

Now, they'll be looking over their shoulder to stay in the play-offs.

  12. 'Raith right in mix'published at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2024

    James McFadden

That puts Raith Rovers right into the mix for the title and keeps the pressure on Dundee United.

It's a huge night for them.

  13. FULL-TIME Partick Thistle 0-1 Raith Roverspublished at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2024

That is it. A momentous win that moves Raith Rovers within a point of league leaders Dundee United.

How Partick Thistle didn't score is a mystery. A huge test of Ian Murray's side's title credentials.
