I love a derby as much as the next guy, but SIX?

Could be a bit of overkill there, lads. Try not drawing each other in the cups next time.

Partick Thistle v Raith Rovers (19:45)

Six Fife derbies. Five Raith wins. One draw.

Rovers have piled misery upon their county rivals Dunfermline this season, with their latest triumph coming in the form of a 2-0 win at the weekend.

Not even a missed penalty at the death by Callum Smith - which required a triple save from goalkeeper Deniz Mehmet - could dampen the celebrations.

After chucking away victory at Arbroath the previous week, a derby win was exactly what the doctor ordered, keeping Raith four points behind leaders Dundee United.

    Firhill for thrills, right?

    This could be chaos.

There’s been non-stop drizzle for the last few hours, so the surface here is slick. Exactly what two free-scoring teams are after.

If I’m not graced with goals this evening, these clubs can expect complaints with my signature at their door.

  5. About last time...published at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2024

Partick Thistle v Raith Rovers (19:45)

I believe they call the last meeting between these sides "an instant classic".

    46 minutes: 2-0 Raith Rovers

    69 minutes: 3-2 Partick Thistle

    82 minutes: 4-3 Raith Rovers

This crazy league at its very best. More of the same please, troops.

Partick Thistle v Raith Rovers (19:45)

Despite their derby dominance on Saturday, Ian Murray shuffles the pack and brings in three fresh faces.

The changes comes at the top end of the park, as if we needed any more reason to believe we're in for a fast-paced affair this evening.

Aidan Connolly, Kyle Turner and Jack Hamilton are drafted in, while Josh Mullin, Lewis Vaughan and Zak Rudden drop out.

Partick Thistle v Raith Rovers (19:45)

Just the one change for Partick Thistle after they battled back from two goals down to draw with Queen's Park at the weekend.

Kilmarnock loanee Kerr McInroy comes in to replace Kieran Ngwenya, who also spent time on loan at Stark's Park from parent club Aberdeen.

Striker Tomi Adeloye is missing with an injury.

    This could be a cracker.

It's third against second in the Scottish Championship as title contenders Raith Rovers visit play-off hopefuls Partick Thistle.

Both these sides like attacking football, gorgeous goals, and their fair share of calamity. Just how we like it!

    Let's get moving.
