    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Sheffield Wednesday picked up their first point of the season in the match between these pair back in September.

Just four of the 11 players who started for the Owls that day start this one, while it's seven for Leeds.

    Pretty even contest thus far.

Little flashpoint between Leeds forward Crysencio Summerville and Owls full-back Pol Valentin on the halfway line, but a talking to suffices.

Wednesday boss Danny Rohl praised the "togetherness" at the club as they look to pull off a great escape from the relegation zone.

Fans are certainly well and truly behind the young German boss and the players but it's a different case for owner Dejphon Chansiri.

Many let their feelings be known before kick-off this evening.

We'd love to hear from you tonight.

How do you see this one going?

Hit the thumbs up for a home win or a draw, which would of course be enough to lift the Owls out of the bottom three, and hit the down thumb for a Leeds win.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has said his side have "10 finals to go" as they look to avoid relegation.

The rookie German boss has overseen a fantastic upturn in form since taking over from the hapless Xisco Munoz in October.

A fifth straight win this evening would lift them out of the relegation zone, and be the first time they have won five successive league games at this level in almost seven years.

"Now we come all together and I think that's very helpful," Rohl told BBC Radio Sheffield., external

"For me, Sheffield Wednesday is passion and hard working and also to come back from big defeats in the past. That's a strength of this club, that the belief is still there and we know we can do special things even if we have some setbacks.

"Now we come to a point where we can earn something. We have invested a lot in the last weeks even when it was not easy, especially in January.

"We have a good moment and we have to keep going, with 10 finals to go."

Both of these teams have had very tight turnarounds after 1-0 home wins on Tuesday night.

Leeds squeezed past struggling Stoke City for their 10th win in 11 matches this calendar year, and boss Daniel Farke was full of praise for his players afterwards.

"It was a hard-fought win. These types of wins, especially when the schedule is like this, are the best wins," he said.

"Having this schedule and to be unbeaten in 2024 with this amount of wins - 10 wins and one draw, eight clean sheets and three times we have just conceded one goal - it is remarkable. We are pretty happy with the lads."

On tonight's game against his German compatriot Danny Rohl, he added: "It's two sides who are on really good form.

"They're still in a position where they have to fight against relegation but they are one of the most in-form teams at the moment. We are also in brilliant shape."

Just five points separate third-placed Leeds from league leaders Leicester City.

The Foxes face a tricky looking trip to sixth-placed Hull City on Saturday, while second-placed Ipswich visit play-off chasing Cardiff City in tomorrow's early kick-off.

Southampton, who will still believe they can get back in the conversation for automatic promotion themselves, host out-of-sorts Sunderland.

Rotherham aside, it could scarcely be any tighter at the bottom end of the Championship.

For Sheffield Wednesday the equation this evening at least is simple enough, avoid defeat and they'll move out of the relegation zone for the first time since the second matchday of the season.

The Owls are flying, with four wins on the spin, but know they still have work to do in the final 10 games to pull off what would be a great escape.

Remarkably, a win for Danny Rohl's men this evening would lift them up SEVEN places to 16th in the table.
