    Norwich 0-1 Plymouth

There are groans from the home fans as Norwich somehow fail to level.

Borja Sainz does well to pull a pass back, but it is just behind Josh Sargent.

Coventry's upward trajectory continues, as in-form striker Ellis Simms adds two more to his excellent recent tally.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Southampton 1-0 Middlesbrough

Southampton have a half-time lead which is crucial in their bid to chase down those automatic promotion rivals.

it came from a familiar face in Adam Armstrong - top scorer with 19 goals now - who cracked home after Jonny Howson shanked his clearance straight to him.

Middlesbrough have flickered on occasions, Finn Azaz smacking the post, but otherwise it's Saints' afternoon so far.

  5. Contrasting tales for two former Premier League goalkeeperspublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Emma Jones
    BBC London

It has been a fairly free-flowing first-half here.

Asmir Begovic has not had a save to make so far.

John Ruddy though has done well stopping QPR at the other end.

    Hull 0-0 Stoke

We have had the first real hint of a chance in this game. And it's only taken 41 minutes!

After the ball bobbles around in Hull's penalty area, Stoke have two bites at it.

Ryan Mmaee has an effort blocked before Sead Haksabanovic sends an effort over the bar.

Huddersfield are mounting a fightback on their home patch.

Skipper Jonathan Hogg picked off a pass out from the back, fed David Kasumu and the wide-man cracks a shot from distance which pings off the outside of the upright and away.

    Proper lash from Kasumu.

Oh dear. That is now 19 goals conceded in their last four and a half away games.

Emil Riis has two in five minutes, Duane Holmes manages to whip a cross in from the right towards Will Keane, the visitors do their best to clear his pullback but Riis is too strong and spins to fire the loose ball low past Viktor Johansson.

  11. goal

GOAL: Preston 2-0 Rotherhampublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Preston celebrateImage source, Rex Features

The hosts double their advantage. Preston win the ball back in midfield, Mads Frokjaer spreads it from left to right where Emil Riis has pulled away to drill a low shot across Viktor Johansson and into the bottom corner.

    You fear for Rotherham, here.

  12. Postpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Norwich 0-1 Plymouth

Ryan Hardie missesImage source, PA Media

Plymouth very nearly go two up.

And it comes from a quick break following a Norwich corner.

Morgan Whittaker sends Ryan Hardie clear, and while he is able to get around Canaries goalkeeper Angus Gunn, his finish from a tight angle is off-target.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Big chance for the hosts to break their drought, and the deadlock, but although the ball is cut back nicely for Will Vaulks in the area by Ike Ugbo, the Owls man can't get a clean connection and drags his shot across Carl Rushworth's goal.

  14. Postpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Sunderland

Chance for Cardiff, as Nat Phillips sends a header goalward, but it's saved by Anthony Patterson in the Black Cats' nets.

A rare moment of positivity from the hosts.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Preston 1-0 Rotherham

The Millers might be 20 points from safety as it stands, but they keep battling away. They are pushing for an equaliser, Cafu lashing a 25-yard effort which was too close to Lilywhites keeper Freddie Woodman.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Norwich 0-1 Plymouth

Norwich so nearly have the equaliser they crave.

Josh Sargent sees an deflected on to the post, and while Sam McCallum is able to work the ball back into the box the danger is defused by Plymouth goalkeeper Michael Cooper.

  17. Postpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Preston 1-0 Rotherham

    Sanny Rudravajhala
    BBC Radio 5 Live

The hail has subsided but the rain carries on and it’s now even more miserable for the Millers.

At first I thought Robbie Brady’s cross may have been more of a shot but either way it was a perfect delivery for Duane Holmes, back in the side and with a fourth of the season.

The away fans are still in good spirits though. A chant of "we’ve had a shot" just rang as Cafu’s effort from range was comfortably gathered by Freddie Woodman.

Rotherham supporters finding that silver lining early.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Swansea

Carl Rushworth to the rescue for Swansea as the keeper stretches to tip Bambo Diaby's looping header from a Will Vaulks long throw over the crossbar.

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    QPR 0-0 Birmingham

Chances at both ends. First Juninho Bacuna frees Adam Stansfield who is driven wide by keeper Asmir Begovic and is unable to get a shot off.

Moments later at the other end Ilias Chair plays in Lucas Andersen over the top but he can only fire wide of John Ruddy's goal.

  20. Postpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Cardiff 0-2 Sunderland

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Sunderland have been excellent so far. They look nothing like a team on a seven-match winless run.

But Cardiff do. They've been woeful.
