  1. Hornets playing high linepublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

    Sometimes you need a breather.

Watford need to pass the ball around to give themselves a break from the pressing.

Considering who Watford are playing against and the speed that Leeds have got, the Hornets are playing a high line.

  2. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Watford win another corner down their left but the away side deal with it and are awarded a free-kick.

Leeds, that Crysencio Summerville snapshot aside, really haven't got going yet at all tonight.

  3. 'Hornets keeper Bachmann does well'published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

Daniel Bachmann sees the ball late.

He does well to make the save down to his left from Crysencio Summerville.

You know that Summerville wants to cut inside.

  4. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

The away side show their teeth for the first time.

Crysencio Summerville gets a decent shot off and Daniel Bachmann in the Hornets goal has to be on his toes to turn it around the post.

The corner is wasted as Dan James' effort goes out of play before coming back in.

  5. 'Asprilla challenge did not look like a penalty'published at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

    Jon Newsome
Former Leeds and Sheff Wed defender on BBC Radio Leeds

    I don't think it was a penalty.

I think Yaser Asprilla fell on his backside and just flicked his fingers at the referee.

He was trying to force the official into a decision.

Watford still doing the early running here.

Yaser Asprilla goes down in the area under a bit of contact from Ethan Ampadu looking for a penalty but the referee isn't interested.

Looks the right call to me.

  7. 'Watford look to press high'published at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

    Jon Newsome
Former Leeds and Sheff Wed defender on BBC Radio Leeds

You look at how Watford have set up, they are trying to take the game to Leeds.

They are going to try and press high up the pitch.

I think it plays into Leeds' hands.

  8. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Encouraging for the home side as they win a couple of corners.

The away side, who haven't crossed the halfway line, stand up to them well enough initially.

Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal looks to get his side going by sending a long kick up the field but makes a right hash of it.

Not a sharp start from the Whites.

  9. 'Kayembe went over like a sack of potatoes'published at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

    Jon Newsome
Former Leeds and Sheff Wed defender on BBC Radio Leeds

    Crysencio Summerville was frustrated.

Watford's Edo Kayembe went down like a sack of potatoes.

I wasn't sure if Summerville had caught him in the throat or the face, but it was only in the chest there.

  10. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Little flashpoint as Edo Kayembe is pushed to the ground by Leeds forward Crysencio Summerville.

Ref is happy not to show a card and it's handshakes all round.

    Kayembe's fall was comically delayed.

  11. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Bright start from Watford, as they look to take the game to the division's meanest defence.

The Whites have let in a measly 28 goals from 39 games this season and have conceded just three league goals this calendar year.

  12. 'Cleverley must get tactics right'published at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

I think this game is very tactical for Watford.

Tom Cleverley is new to the job and has one win under his belt.

This will be a totally different test. He will have to get things right.

The system has changed as they are playing with three centre-halves and they have been playing with a back four for a long time.

We will have to wait and see how the game pans out.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford 0-0 Leeds

Righteo, we're off and running at Vicarage Road.

Can the Whites go back to the top of the table or will Watford spring a surprise?

  14. Which manager will prevail this time?published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford v Leeds (20:00 GMT)

As we all know, the Championship is the most ludicrous league of all when it comes to quirky stats, but even by its usual standards, this is an absolute corker...

Leeds have won five of their last 11 league games against Watford at Vicarage Road. That's not it, don't worry... get this, every one of those victories has come under a different manager - David O’Leary, Kevin Blackwell, Simon Grayson, Brian McDermott and most recently Jesse Marsch.

That’s not all. They were all against a different Hornets boss each time too, namely Graham Taylor, Aidy Boothroyd, Malky Mackay, Gianfranco Zola and Roy Hodgson, yep, he was, 125 days in early 2022, since you ask...

Daniel Farke will be seeking to add his name to that list tonight, Tom Cleverley will most certainly not.

    Anyway, here come the teams...

Watford subs: Hamer, Ince, Livermore, Rajovic, Kone, Chakvetadze, Martins, Morris, Grieves.

Leeds make three changes from the 2-0 home win over Millwall in the last game before the international break. Liam Cooper, Sam Byram and Dan James come in for Ilia Gruev, Connor Roberts and Willy Gnonto. All three of those Leeds absences picked up knocks during the international break.

  16. Hornets look to end home hoodoopublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Watford v Leeds (20:00 GMT)

You could forgive Watford fans for not being full of optimism tonight before this game against the division's form side.

They haven't seen their side win at home in the league since 28 November.

For some context, Leeds, unbeaten in front of their own fans all season, have won 10 games at Elland Road since then.

  17. Can Leeds return to second tier summit?published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

With the chance to restore themselves to the top of the table this evening, Leeds shouldn’t have an awful lot to fear at Vicarage Road – on paper at least.

The Whites have won 12 of their past 13 Championship games, drawing the other, while tonight’s hosts are winless in nine home games – though their 1-0 success at Birmingham last time out in Tom Cleverley’s first game in interim charge did end a five-match run without a victory.

Daniel Farke’s side are 34 points ahead of Watford and will be seeking a fourth straight win against the Hornets, who haven’t managed a goal in those three games and have gone down 3-0 in two of them.

The West Yorkshire side will however have to be more clinical than they were the last time they played on Good Friday, five years ago.

They were beaten 2-1 at home by Wigan, who played more than an hour with 10-men, and were unable to make their advantage count despite attempting 36 shots on the Latics goal.

    FT: Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

    Kevin Gallacher
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

It all comes down to one goal.

There was nothing between the sides possession-wise.

Ipswich should have had a penalty but that is maybe levelled out by an offside goal that Blackburn should have had.

It is a little bit disappointing because the fans wanted to see that comeback and it was a good fight in the second half.

That moment with Blackburn's Sammie Szmodics and Ipswich goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky will live long in the memory for all the wrong reasons.

The 10-hour round trip has all been worth it for Ipswich Town fans, who have seen their team win at Ewood Park.
