It is absolutely fantastic what these lads have done at Ipswich and what the manager Kieran McKenna has done.

It has been phenomenal and hats go off to them.

It would've been three points dropped if they had not won today as Blackburn are a poor side.

Hopefully they can finish it off and go up with automatic promotion.

Ipswich hold on and go top of the Championship!

Blackburn are the picture of frustration, because they had plenty of chances to rescue something in this game.

But the evening belongs to the Tractor Boys, who go above Leeds United at the summit.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+4 mins

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

Both sides make changes before the corner comes in.

For Ipswich, Cameron Burgess comes on for Omari Hutchinson.

And for Blackburn, Harry Pickering makes way for Hayden Carter.

Ipswich then manage to clear the corner. Surely time is up now...

Andrew Moran and Callum Brittain trade passes on the right before a cross is floated in.

Harry Pickering meets the ball and fires goalward, but it's deflected for yet another corner.

TV cameras have settled on a bunch of Ipswich Town supporters.

They look like a nervy bunch.

The fourth official holds up the board to indicate that there will be five minutes of added time.

That is plenty for a bit of late drama to unfold.

    Andy Bayes
    BBC Radio Lancashire commentator

If they do lose this game, it will be Blackburn's 19th defeat of the season.

Nine of those defeats have come here at Ewood Park.

It is not good enough, is it?

  10. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

Ipswich go looking for a killer blow.

Jeremy Sarmiento, with his fresh legs, bounds into space from the left and slides a pass to Kayden Jackson on the right.

Jackson's first touch takes him wide and he snatches at his shot when he is closed down, and the effort bobbles across goal and wide.

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

Less than five minutes remain now.

Can Ipswich hang on to go top, or will Blackburn finally get the goal and equaliser they deserve in their quest to stay away from the drop zone?

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 84 mins

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

Ipswich are earning yellow cards at the pace that Blackburn are earning corners.

This time it is Kayden Jackson who is booked for mouthing off.

The latest corner from Blackburn finds Sammie Szmodics at the top of the box, and he tries to chip a cross in behind Ipswich's defence.

Goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky reads it, and comes out to claim the ball.

  13. Ipswich struggling to put passes togetherpublished at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Alex Mathie

I keep saying that Ipswich cannot get out of their own half.

They cannot get hold of the ball.

I don't think they have put four or five passes together.

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

The corners keep coming, and Ipswich keep resisting Blackburn's advances.

Massimo Luongo's foul on Ryan Hedges probably sums up just how much Ipswich are chasing Rovers' shadows now.

  15. 'Tractor Boys are rattled'published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

    Kevin Gallacher
Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

Wow. I thought that was it!

That Ipswich goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky is a liability at times. He manages to spread his arms.

Sammie Szmodics sniffed it out and I thought that was goal number 28 of the season.

Great save by the goalkeeper. Ipswich are certainly rattled.

  16. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

Vaclav Hladky has very nearly gifted Blackburn an equaliser.

He gets the ball caught under him from a pass back, and Sammie Szmodics is on him in a flash.

Just when it seemed like the simplest of close-range finishes, Hladky recovers to make a remarkable save.

Ali Al-Hamadi will not want to see this attempt back on replay.

He meets a neat cut-back pass from Kayden Jackson, but the Ipswich man sends his attempt way over the bar.

We have 13 tense minutes remaining at Ewood Park.

Let's not forget that Ipswich were recently leading at Cardiff going into stoppage time and ended up losing 2-1.

  19. 'Referee Attwell won't be popular'published at 19:07 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

    Brenner Woolley
    BBC Radio Suffolk commentator

    That was never a foul.

Hopefully that decision (to disallow the goal for a foul) livens Ipswich Town up.

It is the sort of decision you do see going goalkeeper's way these days, but Stuart Attwell won't be very popular here.

  20. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Blackburn 0-1 Ipswich

For the second time this evening, Blackburn have a goal disallowed.

Andrew Moran fires the loose ball home from inside the box, but not before referee Stuart Atwell blew his whistle for a Scott Wharton foul on Ipswich goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky as they challenged for a high hanging ball into the box.
