That's it from us, and that's it for these two clubs for 13 days as they head into the international break.

Swansea can look ahead to their trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Good Friday with some confidence having won for the third time in their last five games to put some daylight between themselves and the bottom three.

Cardiff will return to action when they host Sunderland on the same day and, you imagine, will be keen to make amends for defeat by the neighbours.

Thanks for joining us - and stay with us for the rest of today's Championship action.

When the dust settles, this could go down as a pivotal win for Swansea.

Defeat today would have dealt a heavy blow to the Swans' morale - and made their league position look much more vulnerable than it does now, albeit with the day's later games to come.

Cardiff's unlikely play-off push, meanwhile, may now be at an end as they are left to stomach derby defeat.

It has been an all too familiar feeling for Bluebirds fans in recent years.

You look at what happened in the reverse fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium, the performance from Swansea was a shocker and I do believe the managerial change should have happened after that game.

This was much better, it's one each now. It's not easy to do the double is it?

It's a better performance than it has been in the past from Cardiff at the Swansea.com.

It exposed what Cardiff can't do for a long time, they can't press and they're reluctant to press as a team.

Cardiff weren't good enough in possession, didn't make the pitch big and only in the second half did they threaten Swansea slightly.

As we mentioned, that win for Swansea takes them eight points clear of the relegation zone.

It could of course be cut back to five with most of the sides below them playing at 15:00 GMT, but it's a huge victory for Luke Williams' side.

I can't argue that. Swansea were the better team in the first half, it was more even in the second but Cardiff didn't troubled the Swansea keeper.

The majority of the game Swansea were in charge - they controlled the game.

And because of that, they've won.

Defeat means Cardiff's wait for a league double over Swansea goes on, while the Bluebirds' four-game Championship winning streak comes to an end.

The Swans are now eight points clear of the bottom three with the day's later games to come.

As for the derby, that is now five Swansea wins in their last six meetings with Cardiff.

Let's get it right, they deserve to win this game.

Cardiff have been better this second half but Jamal Lowe there, left the defenders for dead.

Then it's his composure, a couple of options in the box but he thought 'No, I'm going to have one of these in the derby again!'

    Swansea 2-0 Cardiff

Swansea exact revenge for defeat at Cardiff City earlier in the season, with goals from Liam Cullen and Jamal Lowe securing a deserved win.

Cardiff were disappointing, while Swansea might have made things easier for themselves had Cullen not missed a penalty early in the second half.

It's easy to say in hindsight. Had Cardiff started with this team instead of two holders, what could have been.

We're getting to that stage where the Swansea fans realise the players need help.

It's been nervy last 10 minutes, Cardiff have been better, they've grown into the game so this atmosphere is going to crank up slowly.
