So, how can Dundee United bounce back?

They can do just that in a big way as they welcome Raith Rovers to Tannadice next Saturday.

What an occasion that will be. We'll be across it online and on Sportsound.

  3. 'McGlynn saved Falkirk'published at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

    FT: Falkirk 4-1 Edinburgh City

"I think he's saved our football club".

A lot of love from our Falkirk fan on Sportsound about manager John McGlynn.

They're on the cusp of promotion back to the Championship after five years in the third tier. A matter of time, it seems.

  4. 'Not good enough', admits Goodwinpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

FT: Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT

    Jim GoodwinImage source, SNS

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "First-half was quite even. The goal we concede is a disaster from our point of view. I don't know how many times we've had to come from behind to take something from the game.

"In fairness to the players, they've always shown a good reaction. It was a wondergoal to equalise. Mark Ridgers is everyone's man of the match today, which speaks volumes.

"It's not good enough for our perspective, it feels a bit like a defeat. It might be a valuable point on the board, but we should be getting three points.

"If you want to be able to be a professional footballer, you have to handle that [pressure]. You have to rise to that, I don't buy that as an excuse.

"If you're getting overawed by that kind of thing, maybe this isn't the club for you. But I don't think that's the case."

  6. Pars pushing play-offspublished at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

FT: Greenock Morton 0-1 Dunfermline Athletic

It's been a topsy-turvy first season back in the second tier for Dunfermline, but they're now just one point outside the play-offs after that win at Morton.

Back-to-back promotions not out the question for James McPake's side.

  7. Can Caley take it home?published at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

FT: Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CT

A big point for Inverness today, who dug in and limited Dundee United at every turn.

It's their home form they've got to sort now. They're without a win in the Highlands since November.

  8. 'Nobody gave us a chance here' - Fergusonpublished at 17:38 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

Inverness CT manager Duncan Ferguson tells BBC Scotland: "I thought we were absolutely outstanding. It took a wondergoal to beat our goalkeeper.

"We did very well and managed the game well. We could feel the stadium was edgy. On another day, we might have nicked it. Nobody gave us a chance here, bar us.

"I've never scored a goal like that [Moult's equaliser] but I don't think many people have.

"I was well pleased with a point. It doesn't matter who wins round about us, it's about us."

  9. Doolan 'delighted' with three pointspublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

    FT: Arbroath 0-1 Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan tells BBC Scotland: "I’m delighted because I don’t think you will get any easy games, but coming away to Arbroath is notoriously difficult.

We have one, two chopped off, we have one off the post, I am not sure if it goes in or not, but we created a lot of chances.

I felt it was just our final pass was good it was just an inch away from where it had to be to be inch perfect, but you don’t always have to score a perfect goal. So we will take 1-0 and go down the road."

    BBC Radio Scotland

A big call from Dundee United fan Andy on Sportsound: "I would go out there and throw a boatload of money at Neil Lennon for six games".

Aye, I'm going to need to see the thumbs again. United fans, how do you feel about that shout?

  11. 'I still believe United have enough'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

    Stuart Kettlewell
    Motherwell manager on BBC Sportsound

You can be favourites for the league, but they've had the bitter pill to swallow of relegation last season.

This run of form surprises me. The performance level hasn't been anywhere near where it was at the start of the season.

I do still genuinely believe they have enough to get over the line.

  14. Basement battlepublished at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

I feel like I've been banging on about it all afternoon, but I'm fascinated by the relegation battle in League 2.

With Bonnyrigg Rose and Stranraer both losing, Clyde have clawed back the gap at the bottom to just two points with a goalless draw against The Spartans.

Stranraer and Bonyrigg meet next week in a titanic clash. It could prove an opening for Ian McCall's side too.

The bad news keeps coming for Dundee United fans.

Kevin Holt left Tannadice on crutches after being replaced on 72 minutes. It could be another blow for the league leaders.

There will be no Falkirk party tonight.

That third goal for Accies at Cove was enough for some fans here - an early exit to beat the traffic but happy that their team's given them plenty to cheer this afternoon.

Four goals from Callumn Morrison, three points and one more big step towards the League 1 title, which will be officially confirmed if they beat Montrose away next week.

The Falkirk 'invincibles' march on and will have another chance to win the trophy they deserve next weekend.

You could argue Partick Thistle could, and should, have had more goals in the second period.

It was a professional performance in the end.
