    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Sport Scotland at Gayfield

Since they took the lead, Partick Thistle have taken a real grip on things at Gayfield.

They are pulling Arbroath all over the place, and very much look like scoring again.

Arbroath are creaking a bit at the back.

Callumn Morrison's green boots to the rescue - a cool penalty dispatched past Ruairidh Adams to give this place the lift-off it was waiting for.

This after Adams pulled off a wonder-save to keep out a curling effort from Aidan Nesbitt which was headed for the top right-hand corner.

From the corner kick, a high boot on Sean Mackie brought about the penalty, and now the singing for the home fans.

    Dundee United 0-1 Inverness CT

    Brian McLauchlin

The United response to going behind has been decent.

Mark Ridgers saved well from Ross Docherty and a Glenn Middleton header was just wide of the target. More goals in this game, you'd think.

  12. City troubling Falkirkpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

    Falkirk 0-0 Edinburgh City

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Scotland at the Falkirk Stadium

Ollie McDonald has his head in his hands - he knows he had two great chances to score there for Edinburgh City, both from close range.

The first was blocked by a defender, the second very well saved by Sam Long. Big sighs of relief all around the stadium.

The entire length of the table separates these two - two divisions will soon be between them as well - but you wouldn't know it so far.

That said, a wonderful mazy run from Dylan Tait nearly gave the home fans what they came for.

    Arbroath 0-1 Partick Thistle

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Sport Scotland at Gayfield

Aidan Fitzpatrick gives Partick Thistle the lead, with a low drilled effort from the edge of the box.

The ball fizzed under Arbroath keeper Derek Gaston who may feel he could have done better.

It is harsh on the home side who have started the game well.

  16. 'Statue-esque United'published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2024

    Dundee United 0-1 Inverness CT

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland at Tannadice

The Dundee United defence looked like statues as the cross from the left hand side was parried out by Jack Walton in the home goal.

Wallace Duffy will not score an easier goal all season!
