Tonight is Ivan Toney's second England cap exactly one year after his first (26 March 2023 v Ukraine). He’s the third England player to win his second cap one year after his first, along with Tom Cooper (22 October 1927, 1928) and Ralph Coates (21 April 1970, 1971).

Belgium are certainly on the up again going into the Euros this summer.

A bright start for England, Jarrod Bowen fizzes in a cross from the right and Ivan Toney tries to meet it with a leaping volley, but can only send it against his own arm.

A really exciting midfield with Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and Kobbie Mainoo starting there.

It's going to be between Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins. From my point of view, I would take Toney.

If Mainoo can be fast-tracked, why not Branthwaite, especially in a problematic position? Let's hope he gets whole second half. Penny for Joe Gomez's thoughts...

England manager Gareth Southgate speaking on Channel 4: “You can’t disguise the fact any game in an England shirt is an important game. He [Ivan Toney] is playing with confidence with his club and all he has to do is bring his club form into the international shirt.
“He has different qualities to Ollie [Watkins], definitely a player that gets more involved in build up and comes short and finds pass, he is not just a target man and there are plenty of attributes to game."
On Kobbie Mainoo: “He is completely at ease in this environment, we saw that the other night in his short cameo that he is comfortable receiving the ball and progressing with it."
Asked whether Mainoo has a realistic chance of making the Euros squad this summer, Southgate adds: “Of course. He would not be here is that was not the case. We have put young players in in the past and we are not afraid to do that. We are looking forward to seeing him."
On Declan Rice captaining the team: "He has been immense for us. We’d have been lost without him for long periods of the five or six years he has been with us. His game has moved on to another level, this leadership experience is a great one for him. He has done it at West Ham and I think we can bring him out of himself even more."
While the first play-off tie of the night enters what will be a dramatic and nerve-shredding climax in Tbilisi, the final two games are about to get under way.
Wales remain among the hopefuls after they thumped Finland 4-1 to keep alive their chances of reaching a third successive tournament.
Standing between Wales and a place at the Euros is Poland, who thrashed Estonia 5-1 in their semi-final.
Iceland fell behind early on against Israel but came back to win 4-1 and set up a meeting with Ukraine, who scored two late goals to stun Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1.
That game is being held in the Polish city of Wroclaw with Ukraine unable to host it because of the continuing invasion by Russia.

Georgia 0-0 Greece (AET)
Georgia and Greece could not be separated over 120 minutes so that means one thing... gulp... penalties.
Who will keep their nerve in the shootout?
Georgia are bidding to reach their first major finals, while 2004 champions Greece have not reached the finals since 2012.
The winners will clinch a place in Germany next summer and a spot alongside Turkey, Portugal and the Czech Republic in Group F.
Ukraine v Iceland (19:45 GMT)

Do you remember the Icelandic TV commentator who went viral at Euro 2016 because of his amazingly enthusiastic reaction to a late winner against Austria?
His name is Guðmundur Benediktsson and today is another big day for him.
As if commentating on the Euros play-off against Ukraine isn't nerve-racking enough, his son Albert Guðmundsson will be upfront for Iceland.
But whatever happens later it probably won't top Thursday night when Albert scored a hat-trick against Israel, with his Dad describing it in the commentary box.
"It was really strange but I loved every minute of it," Guðmundur told me today on our Sport Today radio show.
"It's a dream for a father.
"Putting emotions to one side is pretty difficult but somehow you do it. Hopefully we will relive that hat-trick again tonight against Ukraine."

Former Spurs and Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown tells The Football News Show why England must remain cautious over the progress of Kobbie Mainoo and why Gareth Southgate's best side should see Declan Rice playing the holding role in midfield on his own.

Such an embarrassment of riches at right back we were saying not that long ago and now a debutant needed to cover injuries. Wish Konsa every success, thoroughly well deserved and hope he forces his way into the squad.

England v Belgium (19:45 GMT)
England boss Gareth Southgate says having the Three Lions on the team's shirt is "the most important thing" amid the controversy over the St George's Cross design on the new kit.
Ukraine v Iceland (19:45 GMT)
Ukraine's footballers are aiming to bring "a bit of happiness" to their under-fire country by qualifying for a first major tournament since Russia's invasion, says manager Serhiy Rebrov.
Rebrov's side host Iceland in the Polish city of Wroclaw, having been unable to play games in their own country because of the war.
"I told the players before the game that I hoped they would bring a bit of happiness to the people in Ukraine right now," Rebrov said.
"Russia attacked Ukraine with 30 missiles last night. Missile attacks are happening every day.
"Our mission and goal here are to show that we are still alive, that we are still fighting against the Russians, that we need Europe's help."

This is the formation that suits Foden and Bellingham. Mainoo's playing position is weird to me, I was hoping Palmer would take that position. Let's see how the first half goes.
