    What a strike!

Well Manchester City have looked bright in this second half but have had to be patient in the final third. But when it falls to Phil Foden in space he lets fly with his left foot and it's straight into the top left corner.

    Pick that out!

City are doing the right thing. They just need to be persistent. All things being fair, City should break Real Madrid down eventually. But they also need their defence to be watertight

    Christian

They just can't get the ball the Haaland, City need to rethink their strategy in this second half, very little penetration!

    Real Madrid 2-1 Man City

Manchester City win a corner and Jack Grealish plays it short, it comes out to Phil Foden but there are so many white shirts in the way that they manage to nick possession away from the City man.

The visitors win it back, though, thanks to a very determined Erling Haaland.

When Real Madrid go forward they do so with a purpose, with pace and drive.

With Man City at the moment they are keeping the ball well but they do not look like they are going to score.

City are being very calm and composed in possession, nice to watch on the eye, but there is no one that when they receive it you think something is going to happen.

No one is willing to take a risk and make something happen.

I wouldn't say the Arsenal performance is that unlike them. For all their good form recently, the only slightly challenging game they've faced was against City and they didn't even try to win that one.

Bayern continue to find pockets of space in dangerous areas.

The next goal is going to be huge.

Now an attempt from distance by Konrad Laimer which clears the bar.

Oh my, big chance for Real Madrid.

They break at pace and it comes out to Rodrygo on the left, he controls it well and finds Vinicius Junior but the Brazilian's shot misjudged and fires over the bar. You would expect him to get those efforts at least on target.

Kane clenches his fist in that elbow, he's definitely done that deliberately. How has that not been reviewed?

    Dom, Hampshire

Harry Kane is lucky to still be on the pitch. Looks over his shoulder and then throw an elbow into the opponent's throat/chin. Clear case of violent conduct.

    It's a poor set-piece in the end.

Decent opportunity for the holders. Rodri gets up higher than Toni Kroos to meet Jack Grealish's free-kick but he can't get his header down on target.

Oops. Phil Foden looks for Rodri but the pass is all wrong and it bounces off the midfielder straight to the feet of Jude Bellingham.

He turns and shifts away from a couple of Manchester City defenders but drags his shot just wide.
