Former Wales midfielder Joe Allen speaking on Sgorio: Robert Lewandowski is dropping into midfield which is causing problems for Ethan Ampadu and Jordan James who also have Piotr Zielinski to deal with, but Danny Ward hasn't had to make a save.

It's a tight game, I'm sure it'll open up in the second half and I'm looking forward to David Brooks, Aaron Ramsey and Dan James coming on to affect the game.

Ben Davies has been a threat, he was close against Finland but tonight, so close, unfortunately he was offside.

The last five minutes was a lot better from Wales, we need to keep getting down the flanks and getting crosses in the box.

I feel that Wales need more men running in behind, a lot of the first half was Wales coming to the ball. We need to stretch this Poland team and attempt to get in behind more often.

So 22 teams have now qualified, and just two more spots are to be decided for Euro 2024.

Wales or Poland will become 'Play-off winner A' to join Netherlands, Austria and France in group D for this summer's Euros.

It's all feeling a bit real now, isn't it?

From earlier tonight, the first of the three play-off spots were decided.

There was nothing to separate Georgia and Greece in Tbilisi.

The game ended 0-0, as did extra time.

And it was Georgia who emerged victorious on penalties, winning 4-2 on spot-kicks.

Just the two more places for Germany 2024 are up for grabs...

There were some great moments and opportunities for Wales in that first half, coming from the left-hand side.

I would like to see us break a little bit quicker and get the ball into Brennan Johnson and Neco Williams, they're causing this Polish team problems.

Wales' men have never been involved in a penalty shoot-out, so no stats on that but who would we fancy to take Wales’ spot kicks?

Worth Aaron Ramsey taking one I think - if he shows the same composure as in the South Wales derby earlier this season (rather than his miss for Rangers against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final.)

Whatever the outcome, watch the highlights on Match of the Day Wales, BBC One Wales, tonight at 22:40, link at the top of the page.

Keep putting the ball in the box but get players in to the box, you've got Connor Roberts and Neco Williams, Brennan Johnson, Harry Wilson, Kieffer Moore get in the box and make sure you are on the end of opportunities.

I think this game is made for Dan James, with that high line, he can cause this Polish defence all sorts of problems.

He's doing great at club level, he got a goal on Thursday and he'll be raring to go.

He's my obvious choice for the second half.

    That's half-time.

    The half raced by.

All to play for and Wales should be heartened by that late chance.

    Let's grab a drink.

Kieffer Moore heads across goal and Davies heads home.

Wales are just giving the ball away a bit too cheaply, we don't have to score just wear the opponent out a little bit, keep the ball, frustrate them.

Wales fans have gone early with a rendition of Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau.

It's usually reserved for those moments towards the end of the game when Wales are hanging on - but I guess that speaks volumes of how tense this match already is.

Poland fans still don't like the anthem and try booing it again but no chance when it's sung at that volume.

Connor Roberts overlaps beautifully and stands the ball up, it looks like it will drop perfectly for Brennan Johnson, but Poland get a vital touch.

Harry Wilson then stretches to try and get a shot at goal, but the ball just evades him.

Tiny margins. This game is going to come down to tiny margins.

    Helen Ward
Former Chelsea and Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's tense, there is bits of play I've been really pleased with from a Welsh point of view and then bits that are a bit more concerning like leaving Robert Lewandowski that space in the middle of the pitch.

Just things to be aware of but at this point, it's a big game, we are well in the game, we just need to keep it tight.

Good foul from Jordan James. Wales are just struggling a little bit without the ball.

You can see Robert Lewandowski is dropping deeper, neither the defence or the midfield know whether to pick him up, he's finding space too easily.

If Poland can start to find him more, it could spell trouble for Wales.

Couple of fouls from Jordan James, he's probably the Wales player closest to a yellow card.
