I get more nervous now. It is quite unbelievable. I can't control it, I can only watch him and it is horrendous.

I get extremely nervous every single time he steps onto a football pitch. I say to him go and enjoy it and treat every game as if it is your last because you are in a position where it is not a job, you are doing something you love and you're very fortunate.

After last week’s performance, Welsh fans gathering in Cardiff say they're feeling nervous but optimistic.

“If we play like we did against Finland we have got a chance,” says Curtis Walter, 26.

But he's still worried ahead of the game, especially from the threat posed by Polish captain, and star striker Robert Lewandowski.

“If we can keep Lewandowski in check it will be a close one,” said Curtis.

Lewis Webster, 27, agrees: “I think we have got a good chance.”

His message to Wales? “Play like you have been playing.”

Conor Thomas, 27, sounds the most confident: “I think we can do it. We are expecting to get there.”

Channelling Michael Sheen, Conor calls on his team to "give out some Welsh sugar".

As was the case for the victory over Finland, Page's toughest selection dilemma will be in attack, where the competition for places is fierce.

He sprung something of a surprise by starting Southampton's David Brooks against the Finns and leaving in-form Ipswich Town striker Kieffer Moore, his only recognised natural centre-forward, on the bench - but was instantly vindicated by the former's goal in the third minute.

Leeds United's Daniel James made a big impact as a substitute and scored Wales' fourth but, while he is pushing hard for a recall, Fulham's Harry Wilson and Tottenham's Brennan Johnson impressed from the start.

Regular captain Aaron Ramsey is expected to be on the bench once more having only made one brief substitute appearance for Cardiff City since a calf strain, so Spurs defender Ben Davies is set to wear the armband again.

Ipswich winger Wes Burns and Swansea City centre-back Ben Cabango withdrew from the squad with hamstring and calf issues respectively before the Finland game.

Niall Huggins, Joe Morrell and Tom Bradshaw were already missing with injury, while Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer is not included as he continues his recovery from the cardiac arrest he suffered during a Premier League match in December.

Wales once again leave Rubin Colwill, Adam Davies and Dylan Levitt out of their match-day squad, as they did against Finland.

Robert Lewandowski will captain Poland, who could be without Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash, who went off injured during Thursday's semi-final win over Estonia.

  4. Good eveningpublished at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March

    Wales v Poland (19:45 GMT)

    Good evening,

    Now this, this is big.

I'd like to spin it and say it's all part of a larger picture, that the campaign is still unfolding, but that simply wouldn't be true.

    This is it, isn't it?

Go to the European Championships this summer, or stay at home.

For Wales and Poland tonight is the night, Cardiff the venue and the stakes as high as they get in international football.

Will it be a summer where memories of a lifetime are created, or is it a party that you haven't been able to get an invite for?

Tonight is the night we find out after a campaign lasting 367 days.

So with the stakes high and your nerve levels no doubt now stratospheric, let us take some of the strain as we suffer through until kick-off together.

    Sound like a plan?

    We've got this.
