Liverpool feel Arne Slot matches their criteria in terms of his style of play, his personality and his ability to work within their system. But I am surprised he's a serious candidate, as Slot turned down Tottenham last summer, which was a surprise.
Liverpool are a much bigger club than Tottenham and it is a much bigger challenge to replace Klopp as you need a big personality with big credentials to take that job.
Whether he is ready for that, I do not know.

Liverpool are set to open talks with Feyenoord on Wednesday over manager Arne Slot as they search for Jurgen Klopp's successor.
Klopp announced in January he would leave Anfield at the end of the season and the Reds have been conducting extensive research around a number of candidates.
Slot, who led Feyenoord to the 2022-23 Eredivisie title, has emerged as a candidate who fits Liverpool's criteria.
Feyenoord have won the Dutch Cup this season and are second in the Eredivisie.

£60m for either Eze or Olise. That's a steal. I'd love either or both of them at Anfield. Two of the brightest young stars in the Premier League!

This is Jurgen Klopp's 19th and final Merseyside derby. Liverpool have won 11 of the previous 18 league and cup encounters under the German, drawing six and losing one.
Roberto Martinez was Toffees boss when Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners at Anfield in Klopp's first derby in 2016.
The German has since come up against Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafael Benitez, Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche in this fixture.

Wolves v Bournemouth (19:45 BST)

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola faces his immediate predecessor Gary O’Neil at Molineux, but speaking in their pre-match news conferences on Tuesday, both declined the opportunity to stoke up any tension.
O’Neil said of Bournemouth “I’m pleased they are doing well”, while Iraola stated “It is just a match to get more points”.
Last season’s game at Wolverhampton was an old-fashioned “smash and grab” as Wolves dominated possession but Bournemouth scored with their only shot on target and came away with a 1-0 win, O’Neil’s first victory as permanent Cherries boss.
Tonight should be a little more open, but either side would move into the top 10 with a victory – a finishing position that would represent a huge feather in either manager’s cap.

Sheffield United cannot get relegated tonight but defeat would leave them clinging to their Premier League lives by their fingertips.
They are 10 points behind fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest and after tonight, they will have four games left.
The Blades goal difference is so bad - 39 worse than Forest - they would have to win all their remaining games and hope Forest didn't pick up two points from theirs.
We are approaching the point of no return for the South Yorkshire club.
Man Utd v Sheffield United (20:00 BST)
I am going to predict a Manchester United win here.
There was a guy who was quite abusive to me on X so I promised him I would pick Manchester United victories for the rest of the season, after I backed Coventry to beat them in the FA Cup.
I was nearly correct about Coventry too - as manager Mark Robins put it after their defeat, I was a toenail away from getting that one right.
As much as anything, it was the way Manchester United fell apart after being 3-0 up that was the worry for them on Sunday, but they did get through in the end.
I don't think this is a particularly good game for Erik ten Hag's side to face next though, against the team at the bottom of the table with nothing to lose.
The Manchester United players probably won't relish being expected to win easily again, just as they were against Coventry, but even they should be able to beat Sheffield United - surely.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Crystal Palace v Newcastle (20:00 BST)
Look away now Crystal Palace fans.
The chat at Selhurst Park so far this week has mainly revolved around the future of stars Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.
BBC Sport football news reporter Alex Howell said this morning it would take a big fee to take one of the players from the club, with both valued at over £60m.
"The Eagles would obviously keep both if they can but are accepting that this summer they may be tested with bids from sides in the Premier League's elite," he added.
Given some of the transfer fees we've seen in recent years, £60m for either Eze or Olise seems like a steal.

There is never hope for us Evertonian's in the derby. It's the annual gifting of three points to Liverpool and as Everton are written off before the season starts there's no disappointment either!

On the possibility of Erik ten Hag being sacked...
I feel it is inevitable.
The word coming out of the club is until every one is in place then INEOS don’t want to make a change. If they are going to make a change they want to make it when the experts are in place.
They are standing by him at the moment.

The Newcastle players and staff wouldn’t say this out loud but I’m sure the 10 days off was a welcome break for them.
A season cursed and crippled with injuries is nearing the end but there’s still plenty of work to do. This could be a defining and dictating week for the Magpies, who, after taking on Palace, face Sheffield United at home on Saturday.
Six points would see them on the path to solidifying sixth place. With the heat on Manchester United after their FA Cup scare and West Ham looking like they’re already on the beach, European football is there for the taking.
Arsenal's impressive 5-0 win over Chelsea on Tuesday sent them three points clear at the top but Liverpool will go back level on points with the leaders if they win at Everton. Third-placed Manchester City are away to Brighton on Thursday (20:00 BST kick-off).
