Jam Barrell: Re 18:10 Tarkowski and Braithwaite for England, its actually a good shout as you also have Pickford so goalkeeper-defender understanding. Also Stones could move to CDM so Rice pushes forward and no need for Henderson

    Brentford are already safe.

An Everton win will make them safe. A draw would mean it was pretty much done because of Luton's goal difference, but also the actual chances of them going down are one in a thousand at this stage.

I'm sure I'd set up a debate that would run for the rest of this live text if I said tea is a drink not a meal, and a disgusting drink at that. So I won't say that.

Zero shots on target from either side tells you all you need to know about the quality of this game.

"Not a classic," as someone once said.

Half-time. A very goalless first half. Dangerously goalless.

RE 18:10 - I agree in the sense that it would add spice to have a few non-household names rather jumped-up, out of form players.

It is a lovely little play and follow from Dwight McNeil first then Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jack Harrison cutting inside.

Nathan Collins does well to come across the box and close the space down. Much better from Everton.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I'd like to see Tarkowski and Branthwaite start for England. Familiarity in internationals can go a long way, especially in defence. They also have the 4th best defensive record in the league despite playing for a 'weaker' club.
