Thank goodness for that! Not QUITE sure you can claim Antony is paying his transfer value off, but a goal when it's desperately needed is better than nothing. I'm sick of United relying on Fernandes and Garnacho to come up with something in every game, or McTominay (it actually pains me to say those words).

Weekend by weekend it seems that things are just slipping away from Luton.

  14. Difference of opinionpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 27 April

    Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

It was interesting to see Erik ten Hag and Vincent Kompany having a debate about the merits of a potential penalty as Alejandro Garnacho went down in the box just then.

Ten Hag was indicating it was the third time he had been brought down, Kompany was saying there was hardly any contact.

TV replays show Kompany's version is the right one.

The Premier League table tells us otherwise but just based on this game, you wouldn't really say Manchester United are better than Burnley.

  20. 'Good season for Newcastle if they get European spot'published at 16:34 British Summer Time 27 April

    Newcastle 5-1 Sheffield United

    Stephen Warnock
Former England and Liverpool defender on Final Score

There has been a lot of talk about Eddie Howe and how difficult it has been at points for his side this seaso,n but if they were to get into Europe again and next year they can continue developing, it will have been a good season.

Last season wasn't as strong a league as this year and fair play they capitalised on it and got into the top four and perhaps overachieved. I think this season has been really good especially with all the injuries they have had to deal with.
