A quick free-kick for United tries to send Christian Eriksen away but he's not the man you'd want in that position and isn't quick enough to beat a defender before seeing a pass cut out.

Sir Dave Brailsford talks about marginal gains, he could make a huge one by ridding Man. Utd. of Ten Hag and his ‘coaching’ staff. His signings have all been poor and arguably the best players this season have been ones he consigned to the dustbin last summer.

What Rodrigo Muniz has done since he got to Fulham is put himself between the width of the posts and that is what good forwards do.

Of course you rely on good service, and it was a peach of a ball into the box by Timothy Castagne, but he has put himself in the right areas to finish.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 27 April

What will be disappointing from Rob Edwards' point of view is that Luton have conceded again from a set piece.

It is a lovely floated ball into the box but Toti Gomes is completely free in the middle. It is so easy for him to get in behind the Luton back line and it is a simple header into the bottom corner.
