Bruce: Just how much longer is this farce with Moyes going on? We are now getting thrashed against average teams. Board must wake up to the fact he is out of his depth. Act before this once great club becomes picture of ridicule.

This is Jurgen Klopp's last visit to London as Liverpool manager and the German has had some nice words to say about West Ham boss David Moyes, who has come under fire from some Hammers fans.

"He has done a ridiculously good job. He is one of the best colleagues too," said Klopp. "We have spoken a lot over the years and a lot before games. I respect him and he is doing an incredible job."

Alan: Time is running out for David Moyes. We are too negative, our bench is non-existent and our youngsters are never given a chance. It's time for change.

  4. 'Moyes' future dominates talk'published at 12:07 British Summer Time 27 April

The subject of David Moyes' future is going to dominate talk around West Ham from now until the end of the season.

The Scot's contract is up in the summer and the Hammers have pledged not to make a decision on it until after the final game at Manchester City, even though there would be obvious benefit in having clarity before then.

Despite the names being linked with the job, the decision around Moyes is not concrete and a positive end to the season may yet earn him a new deal.

Arne Slot is a guy with a lot of charm. He is quite funny sometimes when you talk to him in press conferences. What’s especially striking about him is he is able to clearly explain his reasoning behind certain actions.

Slot is usually able to really articulate his thoughts and has a clear idea what he wants his football to look like.

You see the amount of stick Nicolas Jackson is getting at Chelsea. Darwin Nunez only has one more goal than Jackson (in the Premier League) and he (Jackson) gets absolutely slaughtered for the chances that he misses.

Jurgen Klopp on his possible replacement Arne Slot

After Erik ten Hag left, Ajax were a shambles. Arne Slot joined Feyenoord from AZ Alkmaar and looking back Ajax would have wanted Slot to succeed Ten Hag but they were dozing off. They were asleep. They didn’t see they had this very talented young manager right near them.

Feyenoord took him and he turned things around because even though – budget wise – Feyenoord are the third biggest club in the Netherlands, he made them champions in 2022-23 and this season they have still performed really well.

To go from the Eredivisie to the Premier League as a player and a manager is just a huge leap to make. It remains to be seen what will happen here.

Darwin Nunez is not good enough. If I was Liverpool...yes, you are going to lose Mo Salah. You are probably going to find a good enough replacement.

With Nunez you either give him another chance or you try to trade with another club where you could swap him for somebody else.

There are some top European strikers out there like Victor Boniface and Victor Osimhen.

Last year Arne Slot came close to joining Tottenham and people expected him to take that job. That didn’t happen but I don’t think a lot of people saw Liverpool coming. It feels like a huge move for him. Slot. A very big club for him to manage. That’s kind of beyond what people expected.

Liverpool have agreed to pay Feyenoord £7.7m (9m euros) plus a possible £1.7m (2m euros) in add-ons.

Arne Slot led Feyenoord to the 2022-23 Eredivisie title, while this season they have won the Dutch Cup and are set to finish second in their league.

It is believed that the attacking style of Slot's teams, his personality and his ability to develop players are key factors in making him Liverpool's choice for the job.

  14. Liverpool close to announcing Slotpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 27 April

Liverpool's title charge might have hit a wall in midweek but the Reds are already looking to the future. There was a major development late on Friday regarding their hunt for Jurgen Klopp's replacement.

Liverpool and Feyenoord have now verbally agreed a compensation package for Arne Slot. A deal worth up to £9.4m has been agreed with Feyenoord.

Darwin Nunez is now reaching the stage where he can no longer be forgiven for his wayward finishing because he causes "chaos". It is currently only wayward finishing that makes him stand out, not any chaos he may cause.

Mohamed Salah is also going through the most indifferent spell of finishing of his Liverpool career, guilty of more misses at Everton.

The title race is not over but Liverpool's run of two losses and a draw in their past four league games has left them relying heavily on unlikely results elsewhere.

I was at Goodison Park the other night and Jurgen Klopp actually looked a little bit broken. Everything has gone wrong because when you look at the form of the players, they don't keep clean sheets. Mo Salah has gone completely off the boil. Darwin Nunez has always been a chaotic striker and he is missing chances.
