"Red Bull are hopeful they can compete for a podium finish in Hungary this weekend, but Williams have a different read on the situation.

"They had their usual low-key Friday, but chief technical officer Pat Symonds was confident the team would be back in their usual place on Saturday. 'We're a few tenths off Mercedes and very equal with Ferrari,' Symonds said on Friday. 'I don't think we have the same advantage we had over them at Silverstone; it is back more to an Austria-type situation.' As for whether Red Bull can challenge, Symonds was definitive. 'No, I don't,' he said. 'There are no silver bullets in F1. You don't turn over the course of two weeks transform things. Yes, they were quick, but there will be reasons for that. I think we'll see them back - still challenging, we have great respect for Red Bull, don't get me wrong - but I think they'll be behind us.'"

If Lewis Hamilton qualifies on the front row, he will move ahead of Damon Hill and into second in the list of consecutive front row starts.

They are both on 17 - with Ayrton Senna way out front with 24.

Nico Rosberg was on pole for 2014 Hungarian Grand Prix but have never actually managed to get on to the podium. That is in stark contrast to Lewis Hamilton, who has won the race on four occasions and climbed the podium five times.

  7. 'Jules would do it with a smile'published at 12:19 British Summer Time 25 July 2015

    Jules Bianchi

Manor CEO Graeme Lowdon, speaking to Suzi Perry on BBC One: "With Jules Bianchi you had a top driving talent in the car and could lead the team of people with him. He understood what a racing driver needed and it is so difficult to pick out a special memory. In reality my special memory was the minute he walked into my garage in Barcelona until the minute we said goodbye.

"He had such a sense of humour and if you had a little note left on a post it from Jules, it would not just be a little note, it would have a little comment or smiley face on.

"He knew that this is a hard game so he thought why do it and be miserable, you may as well do it with a smile."

Welcome back! In just under one hour qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix - the last race before the summer break - will get under way.

Lewis Hamilton enjoyed a clean sweep of practice but it has not been quite so smooth for Nico Rosberg, who had balance issues on Friday and then an unplanned stop at the end of the pitlane in P3.

There was little to suggest in practice that anything other than a Mercedes car will be on pole for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

However, the battle between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg could barely be much closer.

With just 0.098s between them in final practice, just one little slip up in qualifying could prove costly.

Will one of them wilt in the Hungary heat?

    rosberg

Nico Rosberg did not look best pleased with that unplanned stop at the end of the pitlane at the end of the session.

"It seemed like the engine stalled," explains Mercedes technical boss Paddy Lowe. "We don't know more than that at moment, but it was not planned. We found a few issues last night which we were able to correct and he started in a bit better place today and we saw that in the lap times."

Nico Rosberg stops at the end of the pitlane and clambers out of his car. The marshals arrive to roll the Mercedes back to the Mercedes garage, with Rosberg giving them a hand.

Under a minute left, with Lewis Hamilton also in the pits, but Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz head back out for the final few seconds.

Meanwhile, Daniel Ricciardo's can only go ninth fastest. Red Bull are not showing the pace displayed yesterday so far.
