  3. 'Pride is an important thing'published at 11:38

    Andrew Benson
    Chief F1 writer at Interlagos

“Think the championships being decided means there is nothing left in this Formula 1 season? Think again. The two Mercedes drivers might only be racing for pride by now, but pride is important and Lewis Hamilton has a run of four consecutive poles by Nico Rosberg to stop this weekend. Has Hamilton been affected by his road accident on Monday night - on the details of which he and Mercedes are being very coy? What will Red Bull do for engines next year, and how will the new Renault engine they are running this weekend affect that decision? Up and down the pit lane there are stories to tell and intrigue to uncover. As always. And all at one of the great F1 venues.”

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you've probably not read this story.

I mean, it could happen to anyone. Win three world titles, get Jessie J to play at your mum's birthday, party all night and drive your £1.6m super car into a parked vehicle. It's the every man's problem.

In fact, to quote the great Miss J: "Got your shades on your eyes. And your heels so high. That you can't even have a good time."

    We feel your pain, Lewis.

    ...quite rightly

Yellow. Synonymous with the festival feel of Brazil.

Also, it's a calming colour, right?

Maybe just the sort of relaxing influence poor Lewis Hamilton needs after the week he's had.

He, and the rest of the F1 field, will be taking to first practice in Sao Paulo at 12:00 GMT. All of them will be trying really hard to not drive into any stationary vehicles.
