Second-placed Lewis Hamilton: "It was a great race. I loved the fact we had to come from far behind. I'm glad no-one was injured in the shunt and after that it was about trying to get up the field and it's impossible to follow out there. I've had much worse in the first race and I'll take it as a real bonus to come back from seventh."

    Vettel

After speaking to both Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, Mark Webber turns to his old Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel.

    "Want some champagne?" asks Vettel.

"No I am OK I get drunk easily," replies Webber.

"Ah of course, and then you start singing of Summer of '69"

Can't go wrong with a bit of Bryan Adams on the Karaoke!

Nick Holland: Given how Rosberg finished last year why are people so surprised? Quietly getting in with business. 2016 fight on!

So who is doing the podium interviews? Arnie? No, it is former F1 driver Mark Webber.

I guess Arnie is busy driving tanks.

Well I don't know about you but I ruddy enjoyed that race. More of the same please.

That's Nico Rosberg's 15th win of his career and he has also won four in a row, continuing on from last season.

  9. 'Not a blow for Hamilton'published at 07:05 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2016

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff on BBC Radio 5 live: "Overall it's a very happy moment. I'm very happy for Nico. I don't think it's a blow for Lewis because the pace was there and it was the start that compromised him. It will not be a big blow for him."

Mercedes non-executive chairman Niki Lauda on BBC Radfio 5 live: "It was tough. The race was exciting. I got worried from the beginning of the race it would be tight. Nico was the winner and it's good for his head to win here. But Lewis did a good job."

"What Mercedes are going to have to work on is their starting, that's where Ferrari got the jump on them. The fact both of them got the jump suggests it's an inferior starting system."
