Ohhhh, purple. Purple's my favourite.
All the best things are purple.
Plums, Donatello, rain, haze.
And now Pirelli's new dry condition tyres...

“Lewis Hamilton could not have hoped for a better start to his campaign to win a third consecutive F1 title. OK, he did not clock the best time, but then he was not trying to.
"But he completed 156 laps - two and a half grand prix distances - and was quick throughout the day. Hamilton said it was the best first day in a new car he had had ever had.
"Some have wondered whether is motivation and desire might dim a little after so much success, but there was no sign of it. ‘Mentally, I feel very strong,’ Hamilton said, ‘absolutely determined to get back in and win. That’s just in my DNA, wanting to win. I do’t have to reinvent myself or find extra motivation, it’s just there. I am sure the competition will be stronger than ever and I want to make sure I am stronger than ever so I can face whatever is thrown at me'.”

Yesterday our chat was all about your favourite car liveries, following a few unveilings.
So, to extend that a little, I want to know which team's colours, old or new, gets your heart racing.
Feel free to include a picture.
For me, it's always that clean white with the blue of the Williams. Pristine.
One of my favourite things about testing is when they stick the big ol' TV aerials on the side.
It's the least sophisticated an item of high sophistication can be, I reckon.
Here's some nice info about the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya courtesy of our friends from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Today would be nothing without you.
Because, without you, I'm just a lonely man talking to himself about fast cars.
And nobody wants to be that guy.
So talk tome about what you see, hear and feel today (preferably regarding F1).

“The second morning of the first pre-season test starts with some news at McLaren-Honda. Yasuhisa Arai, the man who has headed Honda’s F1 programme since its inception, is moving to a new role ahead of his retirement in a year’s time at Honda’s standard age of 60. He will be replaced by Yusuke Hasegawa. Arai will now be mainly based in Sakura in Japan, where he will be senior managing officer, and will still come to some races.”
So no Kimi, but Nico is out.
The Mercedes driver is eager and keen to impress.
I have a feeling he may have an eye on topping Lewis Hamilton's tally of 156 laps yesterday.
Let's put it down to friendly rivalry...
Whenever I read a list, any list, I always look for the name of Kimi Raikkonen.
Be it a shopping list, Christmas list or a wish list.
And Kimi is very notable by his absence on today's list of drivers.
Instead, yesterday's fastest man Sebastian Vettel goes again for Ferrari.
Remember kids - no Kimi, no party.
The drivers for today's testing have been announced - these are the fellas who will be on track in seven minutes' time (08:00 GMT).
Nico Rosberg (Mercedes)
Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari)
Valtteri Bottas (Williams)
Daniel Ricciardo (Rdd Bull)
Sergio Perez (Force India)
Jolyon Palmer (Renault)
Max Verstappen (Toro Rosso)
Marcus Ericsson (Sauber)
Fernando Alonso (McLaren)
Pascal Wehrlein (Manor)
Esteban Gutierrez (Haas)
Glorious sunshine it is then...
So it's the second day from this chunk of pre-season testing and it's time for yesterday's drivers to give somebody else a go.
But what happened on day one?
Well, in short, Sebastian Vettel had the quickest lap.
Lewis Hamilton was the marathon man with more than 150 laps.
New boys Haas had a wing failure.
And McLaren and Jenson Button had a mixed day.
Kimi Raikkonen on ice. Shaken, but definitely not stirred.
F1 drivers are just like you and me.
I am confident they were up at 6.30am this morning, turning all their car heaters up to maximum and scraping ice off the windscreen with a (platinum) credit card.
Wait what?
F1 cars don't have windscreens?
And it's going to reach 17C in Barcelona today?
