Some small improvements from Nico Rosberg, his latest lap a 1:27.472. He is still behind Rio Haryanto.

Imagine saying that come the actual season, although I suppose with the new qualifying format it could happen...

The Ferrari man is well into his race simulation at the moment, lapping in the low 1:29s.

F1 journalist Dan Knutson in Barcelona: "Sebastian Vettel is doing a race simulation in the Ferrari. A crew guy is showing him the pit board which is counting down the laps, and showing him that he is in P1!"

We haven't seen much from Felipe Massa today...until now.

He's just gone third fastest, clocking 1:23.644. That was on the super softs, almost eight tenths of a second slower than Sebastian Vettel's time on the same compound.

F1 journalist Dan Knutson in Barcelona: "When Formula 1 returns here in May, this open terrace on top of the pit building is where the exclusive Paddock Club hospitality suites will be located. It is where the teams and sponsors entertain their most important guests during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

"The club’s website shows the prices per guest at £735.94 for the Friday, £3,029.47 for two days; and £3,593.92 for three days.

"The price includes fancy food and drink, a place to relax and a view of the main straight and pits, a pit lane walk, access to a grandstand plus, and this is the clincher, a free race programme.

"The most expensive Paddock Club admission is, naturally, Monaco where a two-day pass costs £4501.33."

Rio Haryanto has sent Nico Rosberg to the bottom of the timesheet.

He's got the purple-walled ultra soft tyres on the Manor and improves with 1:25.899 to move up to 11th. That's his best time in testing so far.
