Tom Clarkson spoke to Williams' head of performance engineering Rob Smedley a little earlier about Massa's tyre failure in first practice. Here's what he had to say.
“We’re fairly confident we know what it is. I don’t want to go into a huge amount of detail. It is not a manufacturer problem and it certainly doesn’t appear to be a tyre problem. We have some containment in place and we’re fairly confident it should be OK.”

Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button are currently fourth and fifth quickest respectively. Alonso's super soft run (1:38.728) is 1.5s off Nico Rosberg's benchmark time.
Early days, but could McLaren be in for a good weekend?
