So, that's second practice sewn up. Join us from 09:30 BST for build up to final practice (starts at 10:00 BST).

But let's finish on this sobering thought from Hannah.

The comparison of F1 to a morality-lacking, scifi human race franchise does get you thinking a bit.

Plus, I'm a big J-Law fan, so here she is in the movie.

"I always find it interesting watching team-mates. Lewis Hamilton looks in a good place over Nico Roaberg. We don't know where Sebastian Vettel could have ended up.

"And looking down the order, Jenson Button has outpaced Fernando Alonso and it's good to see both the McLarens in the top 10.

"Kevin Magnussen came in on session two and is more than half a second quicker than Jolyon Palmer. That is a little X against Jolyon."

Pascal had a failure right at the end there.

But it's Lewis Hamilton who is top of P2 and top for the day with his time of 1:37.583 - Seb Vettel sat out the last 40 minutes but is second.

All but six cars out on the track, as we have race-type conditions.

Jenson Button, one of those in his garage, is having a decent day - he's sat in P8 and his quickest time is 0.2secs quicker than team-mate Fernando Alonso.

These long runs are proving pretty interesting, mind.

Daniel Ricciardo has clocked up 25 laps on the softs, as they get an idea of whether the Red Bull can do a one-stop race strategy.

His times are consistently around the 1:43.00 mark.

I'd love to bring you some juicy on-track action. But there is none.

There's a few cars out on the super softs but the times are coming in a good two seconds slower than Lewis Hamilton's best time.

Kimi Raikkonen, for instance, has just come nowhere near with his latest effort.

Hamilton's going to have a crack now... hold the line caller.

The rules for next season could not be decided at a meeting this week, because not everyone was there to vote.

"My sources tell me it was the promoters who didn't turn up. Who the promoters fall under - I'll leave you to decide."

With 20 minutes remaining, Seb Vettel's day is over.

His Ferrari has been derobed of its wheels and hoisted up for more work and Seb has left the building (or at least the immediate vicinity).

Nico Rosberg is unable to make hay on the super soft compounds.

He's latest lap is more than four seconds off the pace.

And there's not much movement elsewhere on in the standings - Lewis Hamilton is out on the super softs though.

I asked if someone could find an example of one of those cars with names at the top of the windscreen.

David has gone a step further and knocked up to Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull to become Kevin and Tracey's Red Bull.

In the process, David has won F1 today.

It turns out Hamilton's team are just biding their time, as they're a set of super soft tyres down. Hamilton put a couple of dead spots on the ones he used for his quickest lap.

Nico Rosberg is back out on the super softs, but he's finding the traffic too heavy to open up a speedy lap.

Meanwhile, our reporter Jennie Gow says Mercedes have pulled a black screen in front of Lewis Hamilton's car.

Maybe they're going to saw it in half... magic!

Sebastian Vettel is sat in the Ferrari garage, scribbling notes on a map of the Sochi circuit like a kid given some crayons at a TGI Fridays, while engineers take off the chassis of his car and try to solve the problem that caused him to atop on track.

Right down at the bottom is Marcus Ericsson, who has made little in roads in the Sauber. Team-mate Felipe Nasr has been almost a second quicker.
