You know the two kids in school who could never sit together in class? You know the ones - the teacher said they a damaging influence on the res of the class.
They may have been distracting, but that's because they were blooming hilarious when put together.
F1's such duo is Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg, who spent parts of yesterday's press conference giggling and nattering like the class clowns.
I'd stick one top left of the press podium and the other bottom right next time. See how they like thems apples.
Yup. They are, Mark. Which means we can look forward to some longer runs on race day.

"Aren't the super softs lasting so much longer than in China?"
The pair of Mercedes have had a change of shoes - they're on the super softs.
Lewis Hamilton finds them a comfortable fit as he leaps past Seb Vettel and sets the quickest time of the day - 1:37.583. It's 0.65 quicker than Vettel.
It will be interesting to see how that failure affects Seb Vettel.
At best, he'll miss out on some long runs this afternoon. At worst, it's a problem that could cause issues before tomorrow's qualifying.

I have no idea what this is. But I know I want one.
The cockpit camera from Vettel shows there was no pop or bang or clang from the Ferrari.
It just dies. Like pouring water on a bonfire.
Vettel came out of the final turn and into the home straight and just halted. He's perched next to the pit wall and is being pushed to safety and through a tiny gap towards his garage.
"I lost electronics," he says on the radio.
Now then. Sebastian Vettel has stopped. The Ferrari has stopped galloping.
Fourth quickest. Half a second adrift of his team-mate.
Now Kimi Raikkonen tries on the red-trimmed tyres, like his Ferrari team-mate. Let's see how this goes...
Sebastian Vettel slaps on a set of super softs and it puts him top of the pile. He goes 0.076 quicker than Lewis Hamilton - who was on the softs.
The expectation is that the super softs should be up to a second quicker per lap, so it's actually a tad disappointing for Ferrari.

Yes!
If anyone has one of these, please - PLEASE - go take a photo of it now and tweet it to us.
(I can't find one that isn't copyrighted...)
Lewis Hamilton might be quickest in this session, but he's had more doughnuts than Homer Simpson.
It looks like he wants to register another quickie, but gets it wrong in Turn 12 and spins on to the gravel. It's the closest he's come to hitting something today, with the barrier close to the track on that turn.
The world champion heads into the pits.

"I'm not sure what it is, but something's not working."
Romain Grosjean on the team radio. He should definitely not become a mechanic.
Lewis Hamilton has found his mojo.
He goes quickest in the first and third sectors and goes quickest in the session.
Although his 1:38.311 is not good enough to surpass Nico Rosberg's 1:38.127 from P1.
Nico Rosberg is on-track and has gone second quickest - clocking a 1:38.926 - that's 0.005 off Seb Vettel.
Lewis Hamilton is having a wobbly day - he's misjudged Turn Two and needs to cut the corner.
