“If he didn’t have bad luck, he would have no luck at all this year.”
Hamilton seems to think he will suffer a penalty, but if the changes are minimal he'll still be OK for P10.
Q3 under way
Anyway - a Hamilton-less Q3 gets going.
A rather miffed looking Lewis Hamilton marches away from the garage.
Big news this - the best he can hope for is P10. Or maybe not.
He tells Sky Sports he will need a change to his power unit: "It's the second engine I took at the last race and it's the same failure as the last race."

“Another inquisition will go on at McLaren. Is it that they are just not fast enough?”
So Q2 ended as such:
ROS, HAM, VET, RAI, BOT, MAS, PER, VST, RIC, KVY.
Force India's Nico Hulkenberg
Worrying times for Perez's team-mate Nico Hulkenberg though.
"That lap was as good as it gets."
Round of applause for Sergio Perez who is through to Q3 with a P7 in the Force India.

“Our hopes that Ferrari would bring the challenge to Mercedes looks remote at this stage of the season.”
Q2 ends
Eliminated: Sainz, Button, Hulkenberg, Alonso, Grosjean, Gutierrez
Oh so close for Button - he's four one hundreths of a second from going through to Q3. Instead he's out...
Oh and Daniil Kvyat sneaks in at the death and knocks Carlos Sainz out.
Ricciardo contends with something flapping around in his cockpit but is home safe.
Can Button escape elimination?
Jenson Button drops into P11 and the drop zone with a minute left.
And now Bottas goes up to fifth so Button drops to 12th and the Hulk is 11th.
Haas' Romain Grosjean
"What's happening on the car, what's happening on the car?!"
Asks the Franco-Swiss as he goes wide and messes up his lap.
Bottom six as it stands: KVY, ALO, GRO, GUT, BOT, MAS
Ninety seconds left.

“Vettel has tended to be the third fastest driver throughout the season so far and he’s back there with that lap.”
That's right - a 1.3-second gap between the Mercedes and Ferrari.
Competition schompetition.
Well, it's Kimi Raikkonen first, actually, he's on a warm-up lap. So hold the line caller.
What about Sebastian Vettel? he goes into P3 and is 1.3 seconds off Rosberg.

“Ferrari have been hampered by all sorts of issues interrupting their flow this season. Vettel is out and will hope to put in the best lap time. But does anyone at Ferrari think they can match Rosberg’s time?”
