We're back under way now that Rio Haryanto's Manor has been dealt with.
It's been a promising day so far for Red Bull. Daniel Ricciardo is fastest, with Max Verstappen third, behind Lewis Hamilton.
We've seen a few crashes today on these tight and twisty streets. This was Romain Grosjean getting up close to the barriers earlier in second practice.
"I crashed," Rio Haryanto observes over the radio.
He's a little shaken, but OK has he climbs out of the Manor. Watching a replay, Haryanto just lost the rear coming out of the tunnel and went sliding sideways down to the chicane, clipping the wall in the process and coming to a halt facing a Mercedes that was behind him.
Big crash for Rio Haryanto at the exit of the tunnel. He's facing the wrong way.
A change at the top as Lewis Hamilton goes quickest with 1:15.489.
It's a short stay as Daniel Ricciardo takes P1, going 0.174 quicker than the Mercedes. The Australian did that lap on the faster ultra softs, however, with Hamilton on super softs.

Nico Rosberg is currently the fastest man on the track, having nipped in a 1:16.694 before the virtual safety car was deployed. He set that time on the super soft tyre.
Once again, though, the debris is swiftly dealt with while Romain Grosjean managed to limp his damaged Haas back to the pits.
The track is clear and we are back up and running.
It is indeed Romain Grosjean. He came out out of the tunnel and lost the rear of his Haas, clipping the barrier as a result and shaving off part of his front wing.

"Romain Grosjean is missing half a front wing so it must be that."
Debris on the circuit once again and the virtual safety car is deployed.
Almost everyone is out on the super softs apart from Esteban Gutierrez and Romain Grosjean, who have opted for the purpled walled super softs. Gutierrez gets in the first timed lap of the session, a 1:17.102.

McLaren chairman Ron Dennis’s remarks reported by BBC Sport earlier this week, in which he said his team would be the first one to dethrone Mercedes eventually, have caused quite a stir in F1. Largely because the possibility seems so unlikely.
Fernando Alonso, though, said: ‘It is something he feels. I tend to agree with him as well. it is difficult next year with the regulations, how things will change. But I see this project going in the right direction. Last year we had just a hope that things were going in the right direction. But now it is something more than that. We start seeing the results and touching the results and we feel more competitive and with everything that is happening in (Honda’s base in) Sakura and McLaren it makes a lot of sense and it is starting to be quite up to speed so we are more confident than one year ago that we will stop Mercedes domination. But if we are the first to do so I don’t know yet. But it is quite possible because Red Bull is a top team but not having a big manufacturer of the engine behind is tough in F1 today and Ferrari will be always competitive and always missing perhaps the last little bit.’
Asked why Ferrari would always be ‘missing that little bit’, he responded with a quick ‘I don’t know’. Which meant he absolutely does know, obviously, but wasn’t prepared to say.
Jenson Button, replete with a new front wing on his McLaren, is sat ready and waiting to head out for the first time this afternoon. Fernando Alonso isn't hanging about. Off he goes with super softs bolted on.
Ninety minutes of second practice are under way in Monaco, where the morning clouds have broken up a bit to let bits of blue sky peak through.
The harbour, as ever, makes for a glorious backdrop as Esteban Gutierrez heads straight on out.
