    I almost missed this. Jenson Button has been out on the track and has set the eighth quickest time - a 1:14.292 on ultra-softs. That's a second slower than Daniel Ricciardo's time on the same compound.

    Lewis Hamilton looks like he is going to get his wish for a change of tyres as he pits. Just as he does, Valtteri Bottas displaces him in P4 with a 1:14.407. Bet Hamilton will love that.

    Max Verstappen splits the Toro Rossos as he does a 1:13.514 on ultra-softs. Lewis Hamilton is continuing to circulate on the super-softs but is now up to P4 after a 1:14.419.

    "These tyres are not working that well," says Hamilton, who once again sounds out of breath.

    Lewis Hamilton is out on the track now and his first time is slow and steady - a 1:14.686 on the super-softs.

    Meanwhile, it's a Toro Rosso one-two at the top of the timesheet. Daniil Kvyat is quickest with 1:13.331 on ultra-softs, four tenths of a second quicker than his team-mate Carlos Sainz. They are going well here.

    Jenson Button isn't out yet. Instead, his McLaren is up on the stands getting some new parts fitted.

    That means he has the time to have a word with Jennie Gow, who asks the Briton how things have been going.

    "It has been a fun morning," says Button. "Everything seems OK. Yeah, it [the car[ feels a lot faster. It is difficult to compare though, it is a long time since I raced in Monaco."

    The Finn has just gone third quickest following a 1:14.734 on super-softs.
