Stroll has just got to be patent. There are two or three points of the race track where the Williams has a much bigger straight line speed advantage. Don't try to overtake until the easy moment.

Stoffel Vandoorne has defended for as long as he can but makes his first stop of the race now, leaving Lance Stroll to attack Fernando Alonso. The rookie versus the two-time world champion... and the rookie wins the battle as Stroll uses Mercedes power to move into P10. A round of applause in the Williams garage for that move.

"Hold up Lance Stroll if you can," Stoffel Vandoorne is told by his McLaren race engineer. Vandoorne is 12th with Fernando Alonso 11th and on fresh rubber.

It's a team game as they pursue their first points of the season and they want to give Alonso the best chance they can to get into the top 10.

"They have taken a gamble bringing Kimi in for a second time to see out the race on those tyres but he just didn't have the pace.

"I will be surprised if we see Raikkonen making his way further up the field than he is currently - seventh."

Daniil Kvyat is currently 10th but there's bad news for the Russian. Stewards have just given him a 10 second penalty because it was felt that the original drive-through penalty "was incorrect". That will drop him to 11th.
