The tarmac is incredibly warm so a few spots of rain shouldn't make too much difference.

But there are heavier clouds on the final bend. There's no rain here at the moment but there can be rain in some parts of the track and not others.

"Little drop of rain," reports Sergio Perez.

Hows about a little drama in the final few laps then? Let's be honest, it's not been the greatest of races, has it?

"Keep an eye on the tyres," says Lewis Hamilton. "I'm a bit worried about them."

Here we go.

Daniel Ricciardo gets caught up in a bit of traffic and Lewis Hamilton is now just a second behind the Australian.

A podium would be a real result for Hamilton after starting eighth.

Lewis Hamilton reports some blistering of his front tyres. He's told it is nothing to worry about. Clearly he doesn't worry about it as he goes and lowers the benchmark again, clocking 1:07.511.

Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas leads Sebastian Vettel by 2.9s out in front. Not quite as comfortable as the Finn would have liked with 10 laps to go.

Looks like Hammertime. The Briton now puts in the fastest lap of the race with 1:07.607. The gap is now down to 2.3 seconds...

Daniel Ricciardo responds by clocking a personal best of his own. Plenty of life in this battle as we head into the closing stages.

Kimi Raikkonen then runs wide at Turn 1 as he attempts to pass backmarker Jolyon Palmer, losing the time he gained on Lewis Hamilton with that quick lap he had just put in.

Now Hamilton's attention turns to Daniel Ricciardo as the Briton finds some more pace. A personal best of 1:07.780 moves him to within three seconds of the Australian.

Kimi Raikkonen puts in the fastest time of the race so far - a 1:07.680 - and he takes half a second out of Lewis Hamilton's advantage over him. Seven seconds between the two.

If I look into the distance the clouds are there and they've been building.

We were told two years ago rain would affect the race and it didn't. But you never know.

Sebastian Vettel is told of rain possibly coming before the end of the race. That could make for an interesting finale.

Plenty to ponder in the Mercedes garage. Lewis Hamilton has been struggling with the balance of his car and Kimi Raikkonen is continuing to close on him. The Finn was two tenths quicker on the last lap and is 7.5s behind the Silver Arrow.

If Hamilton stays out, Raikkonen will be primed to pounce before the end of the race.

Personal best for Sebastian Vettel and he's within four seconds of Valtteri Bottas.

There was an epic start for Valtteri Bottas, an accusation from Sebastian Vettel and a couple of crashes thrown in.

It's worth re-living.

Felipe Massa has pitted for ultra-softs. He's ninth, with Lance Stroll 10th. At least one Williams on course to finish in the points. A fantastic turnaround after qualifying way down the pack.

The early switch to the ultra-softs hasn't quite gone to plan for Lewis Hamilton. He's not making up any ground on Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian is four seconds ahead of the Briton.

So after the pit stops, Valtteri Bottas leads Sebastian Vettel by 4.5 seconds with Daniel Ricciardo a further four seconds behind.

Lewis Hamilton is fourth but has Kimi Raikkonen, on fresher tyres, 8.5 seconds behind him.
