Lewis Hamilton is told to perform a radio check because there's IT problems in the Mercedes garage. No answer from Hamilton. In the zone, or a result of those radio troubles?

The Briton is fifth, two seconds behind Max Verstappen.

Missed this but had two early pitters, Sauber duo Pascal Wehrlein and Marcus Ericsson ditching the super-softs for softs.

This is what everyone wants to see - Fernando Alonso mixing it up in the points and he is clearly loving it as he tussles with Sergio Perez, briefly losing seventh to the Force India before fighting back.

Ricciardo looks properly cross in the Red Bull garage as he discusses the Verstappen incident with Helmut Marko.

Oh it's a right old ding-dong between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. The Mercedes is all over the Red Bull down to Turn 1, Hamilton thinks about a move down the inside at Turn 2, aborts and goes for the outside but Verstappen holds him off. Superb defending!

This safety car is continuing much longer than expected.

The energy the tyres are losing on these slow laps will be looked at very closely by the strategists.

    2) Raikkonen

    3) Bottas

    4) Verstappen

    5) Hamilton

    6) Sainz

    7) Alonso

    8) Perez

The safety car is still out because Daniel Riccardo's Red Bull leaked a lot of oil after his collision.

Marshals are out armed with brushes and sand as they work to clean up the track.

Just seen Jolyon Palmer with cat-like reaction to avoid ending up in the back of Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull after that clash with Max Verstappen. Top work by the Briton.

Replays show Max Verstappen locked up as he approached the second corner, and went straight into Daniel Ricciardo, who had given his team-mate plenty of room. Terrible luck.

Rule one of F1 - don't take out your team mate...

Verstappen was still doing his GCSE's that day of driver school.....

"Someone hit me. If that’s who I think it was, that’s ****"," said Ricciardo.

The safety car is out after Max Verstappen tagged his Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo and the Australian is out of the race.
