    Max Verstappen had gone wide and loses fourth to Carlos Sainz, but it is not long before Verstappen sorts that out, retaking fourth from Sainz.

    Well that's been a chaotic first few laps. Here's a quick recap.

    • Sebastian Vettel holds the lead from Lewis Hamilton.
    • Safety car comes out after clashes through the field.
    • Fernando Alonso suffers puncture after being hit by Sergey Sirotkin. Alonso limps back without one of his tyres but manages to get back on circuit.
    • Esteban Ocon and Sirotkin out of the race.

    Daniel Ricciardo fends off a move from Max Verstappen, but not for long and the Dutchman jumps up to fourth.

    Carlos Sainz also takes advantage and leaps in front of the Australian, who is the big loser from that restart. Was fourth, now sixth.

    Marc Sepetowksi: Alonso has done brilliantly to nurse that car back to the pits in the state it was in. If he manages to finish in the points, which is very possible given there will be more safety cars, then this will be one of the great alonso drives!
