    Super-softs on the Renaults as they come back out to play.

    Mercedes are sticking with yellow boots and Valtteri Bottas promptly goes quicker on the softs with a 1:18.441.

    That puts him half a second clear of Lewis Hamilton, who is just heading out now.

    There will be a bit of debrief about that Red Bull crash but we have seen so many drivers go off. Ricciardo is not alone in going off, he is just alone in finding a barrier.

    The Virtual Safety Car is deployed as Daniel Ricciardo hops onto the back of a scooter and is whisked away while his Red Bull is dealt with.

    More repair work to be done by the Red Bull crew, not that long after they'd finished patching both cars up following their coming together in Baku last time out.

    He climbs out of the Red Bull as a throng of spectators rush over to the nearby trackside fence with their camera phones for a closer look.

    "I completely lost the rear," the Frenchman reports.

    His time is pretty good, though. A 1:21.123 on the medium tyre.

    Actually, Valtteri Bottas' spin was at Turn 10, and it looked like he just lost it rather than getting caught out by the wind.

    Reports of tail winds at Turn 13 and Turn 9 this morning and, lo and behold, we have a couple of spinners at those corners, Sebastian Vettel doing a 360 at 13 just as Valtteri Bottas does likewise a couple of corners earlier.
