Mercedes to Valtteri Bottas: "Valtteri we are just playing a waiting game at the moment, you are doing a good job."
Bottas is currently fifth.
Lewis Hamilton: "These tyres are completely messed up."
Lap 47/78
A great performance from Daniel Ricciardo. He still leads despite reporting power problems back in lap 29. Nearly 20 laps later and he is still holding off Sebastian Vettel.
The German keeps getting told Ricciardo is having problems, but has not been able to pounce.
Lap 46/78
Nico Hulkenberg, another to not come in yet, is still sixth after starting 11th.
Lap 46/78
Daniel Ricciardo: "Just keep me updated on Max's pace, it is useful for me."
Red Bull: "He is plugging away, doing 18.8s."
Both are on the ultrasofts.
Lap 45/78
Only 7.3 seconds between the top five now.
Lap 44/78
Max Verstappen is due to come in any time soon. Started 20th, up to ninth.
Max Verstappen: "I have a problem with Alonso in front of me."
Red Bull: "Understood, just keep doing what you are doing."

You can just about see your tyres from the cockpit but it is all about the feel. When you start to feel them going you are not turning corners as sharp and that is what Hamilton will be feeling.
Lap 44/78
Some good news for Daniel Ricciardo!
"Your tyres are looking in very good shape," he is told.
Lap 43/78
The top four are on the ultrasofts, as is Nico Hulkenberg in sixth. Valtteri Bottas in fifth is on the supersoft.
Ricciardo, by 1.4 seconds to Vettel, Hamilton another 1.5 seconds further back, with Raikkonen nearly four seconds off the Brit. Bottas 1.4 seconds behind Raikkonen.
Lap 42/78
Mercedes to Lewis Hamilton: "We believe Ricciardo has a power unit issue that is limiting his lap times."

Hamilton is desperate for a pit stop but the thing is he does not have all the information, the engineers do. If he pits he will tumble down the order. The best thing for Hamilton, as the engineers are telling him, is to keep at it.
Lap 42/78
Lewis Hamilton is hating his tyres: "The graining is definitely not clearing up,"
Mercedes reply: "All four cars on the ultrasoft and look like the tyres are in the same conditions as yours."
Lap 41/78
Will Mercedes regret that decision to bring in Lewis Hamilton so early? The hope was that the tyres would go the distance. Maybe not now.
Lap 41/78
Red Bull team radio to Daniel Ricciardo: "For info, Hamilton has picked up his pace a little bit. He is doing 18.6ers."

This is slightly ridiculous. Stroll, tugging around at the back, has pitted for new hypers, and set fastest lap - more than four seconds quicker than the leaders are going.
Lap 40/78
Into the second half of the race, and all the top five - Ricciardo, Vettel, Hamilton, Raikkonen and Bottas - will still think glory is on the table for them.
Lap 39/78
Ten seconds cover the top five. Ricciardo going round in the 1.20s. In practice he was regularly at the 1.11s mark.
