What is going to happen today?
Kayleigh: Sooo going for a Vettel win today. Bottas P2, Ham P3. Danny Ric top 7, Alonso top 10. Some clean Kimi and Max racing off the start would be great.
Alex Withington: With Lewis making his way from P14, Mercedes will be hoping Bottas can step up take the fight to Vettel and Ferrari. Should be fun today, let's not forget Verstappen in P4.
Kyle Brown: I think Hamilton could win today even more if the rain comes. Going by how quick he came through at Silverstone, also he has 4 sets of US to use. Get through the first corner with no problems and watch fly to the front.

At Silverstone two weeks ago, Lewis Hamilton very nearly won after being punted to the back of the field on the first lap by Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, admittedly with the help of a safety car. But he is not optimistic of doing the same in Germany.
“It is not that easy to overtake here,” said Hamilton, who has experience of doing the same in 2014, when he suffered a brake failure in qualifying. “It is one of the hardest, particularly following in the last sector. We have an extra DRS (overtaking) zone and that might help but it is not like Silverstone, which is quite open and wide.”
He added that the Pirelli tyres were more sensitive in Hockenheim, too. There was blistering on Friday and these are the standard tyres, not the thinner-gauge ones used in Spain, France and Silverstone to avoid over-heating. “It is a different track to Silverstone, where you could push for longer. You had better tyres there which did not blister. Everyone has seen blistering on the tyres here. I don’t know what I can do tomorrow. I don’t expect to be where I was in the last race. I just have to have an aggressive balanced race.”
Last one. Charles Leclerc (9th), Brendon Hartley (16th) and Sergey Sirotkin (12th).
Sergey Sirotkin wrote on Instagram:, external "It was a really good result for us today getting into Q2️⃣ and finishing P1️⃣2️⃣ in qualifying. Thanks my team@williamsmartiniracing, external. Keep pushing.
The thoughts of Pierre Gasly (20th), Fernando Alonso (11th) and Max Verstappen (4th).
Fernando Alonso wrote on Instagram:, external "Better pace today and a good position to look for more points tomorrow. P11.
Here's some more. Nico Hulkenberg (7th), Sergio Perez (10th) and Stoffel Vandoorne (18th).

The hydraulic failure that Lewis Hamilton suffered during qualifying might not have done a lot for the Mercedes driver’s title hopes but it has set up a potentially cracking German Grand Prix.
Hamilton will be coming through the field from 14th on the grid and Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo from the back, after his engine penalties. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas will be charged with doing everything he can to prevent Vettel taking a fifth victory in 11 races.

That penalty for Pierre Gasly means we will start like this...

It’s going to be all Red Bull at the back of the grid, with Pierre Gasly’s Toro Rosso joining Daniel Ricciardo from the senior team in having an engine penalty.
Ricciardo’s has been known since Friday but the FIA announced on Sunday morning that Gasly had taken a whole new engine for purely tactical reasons - to get more engine parts in the pool to be used over the rest of the season.

It was certainly dramatic yesterday. Will it prove to be a crucial day in the destiny of the world championship?
Lewis Hamilton will start the German Grand Prix from 14th on the grid while title rival Sebastian Vettel took a stunning pole position for Ferrari. Hamilton's Mercedes suffered hydraulic failure in the first part of the session, grinding to a halt on track.
Vettel set pole from Hamilton's team-mate Valtteri Bottas by 0.204 seconds and is now in position to extend his eight-point lead in the championship. But Bottas' second place gives him a chance to challenge Ferrari.
The Finn edged out Vettel's team-mate Kimi Raikkonen by 0.131secs and has the inside line on the run to the first corner for Sunday's race.
Bottas said: "The start is going to be crucial. Race pace-wise, it is going to be close."
Welcome along to BBC Sport's live text commentary for the German Grand Prix. I'm Michael Emons and will be guiding you through all the action from Hockenheim.
The race gets going at 14:10 BST and we will also have live commentary on BBC Radio 5 live.
Right, let's start off by looking back at what happened yesterday. A day for Lewis Hamilton to forget.
No wonder Sebastian Vettel is smiling. A stunning late lap snatched pole position out of the hands of Valtteri Bottas to start at the front in his home race.
And there's more. Vettel's main title rival Lewis Hamilton suffered a hydraulic failure and will start down in 14th, with Daniel Ricciardo on the back row because of grid penalties.
Can anyone stop Vettel today?
