A tough day for Sauber so far. Marcus Ericsson spins, locks up, there is a huge cloud of smoke from his tyres, gets on the grass, and an absolutely fantastic recovery keeps him out of the wall, only just. Phew!

Remember, we have the purple ultrasofts which are meant to be the quickest tyre, the yellow softs and the white mediums.
So Vettel quickest on the fastest tyres, but Bottas only 0.473 seconds behind on the not-as-quick soft tyres.
Haven't mentioned Williams today. They haven't really done anything worth talking about, up until now with Lance Stroll jumping up to 10th.
Sergey Sirotkin, who remains without a point this season, is 19th and slowest if you do not include newcomer Antonio Giovinazzi.
A 5 live producer writes....
"It’s wonderfully old school in Hungary. Comms boxes are over stalls selling kebabs, chips and beers. However when we turned up yesterday to set up, we were greeted by a wasps nest IN the commentary box door! (In a hole in the door). After a quick call to F1 and the Circuit a nice man called Peter turned up to sort it out - if you know what I mean!"
Which drivers have over-achieved or under-performed? Evaluate the 2018 drivers
Dan Nelson: I think Sirotkin doesn't deserve his seat, Kubica is a far superior driver. Plus l believe Norris would be a great driver for Torro Rosso.
John Heynen: Only way to judge driver performance is against their teammate ie someone in the same car; on that basis, Fernando Alonso ( surprise surprise!) is over-achieving the most.
The Tom: Under achievers have to be Vandoorne and the two clowns at Williams, maybe it would have been better to put Robert in the car after all.
The ultrasofts are the weapon of choice for Sebastian Vettel, and it is a good weapon to have at the moment.
Vettel's time is a 1:17.997, with Valtteri Bottas second, Kimi Raikkonen third, Max Verstappen fourth and Lewis Hamilton fifth.

Another impressive day for Renault, who have clearly grabbed the 'best of the rest' tag in recent weeks. Nico Hulkenberg is sixth quickest, with Carlos Sainz seventh and both of them quicker than Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo so far.
Verstappen overcooks it and is facing the wrong way at turn one. But no real drama. He spins it around and off he goes again.
Which drivers have over-achieved or under-performed? Evaluate the 2018 drivers
Paul James: Star of the year is Charles Leclerc. Consistently over achieving in both quali & race. Flop of the year is Grosjean. Consistently underachieving in nearly every race. Most improved driver is Kevin Magnussen. Most improved team is Sauber. Worst team is Williams and McLaren.
A textbook answer there Paul. Flawless. Well done.
Wild from Marcus Ericsson who has to retreat off the track after making a mess of things. He is 19th, the only man slower is Antonio Giovinazzi, who has taken Charles Leclerc's Sauber out for a drive.

Romain Grosjean’s future in Formula 1 has been looking shaky for a while, with Haas considering replacing him after his incident-strewn season. He had another one of his occasional strong races in Germany last time out, and team boss Gunther Steiner has taken the opportunity to remind the Frenchman he needs to produce more like that.
“Consistency is the magic word and he knows that, it's nothing new to him,” Steiner said. “We know what he can do, he knows what he can do and you guys know what he can do on a good day - he’s pretty outstanding on a good day, we just need to get him a bit more consistency.
“He drove a fantastic race in Austria and a very good race last weekend. We just need the consistency out of him. If he starts the weekend good, it normally goes good. For me now, the biggest thing is to keep him good on Friday - then normally that takes him into Saturday and Sunday in a good place. But again, it's difficult to manage, because we just can give him what he wants on the car and the rest he has to do.”
Sebastian Vettel comes out on the ultrasofts and straight to the top he goes with a 1:18.218. That's his first flying lap since ending his German Grand Prix by crashing into the barriers.
That was an incident that left him in tears over the team radio, banging his steering wheel in frustration and saw his hopes of winning his home race in tatters. Hard not to feel sorry for him. What will this weekend bring for him?
Which drivers have over-achieved or under-performed? Evaluate the 2018 drivers
James Baron: Ericsson, Hartley, Vandoorne and the two Williams boys have been poor all season. All lucky to be in the sport this year and shouldn’t be next.
John Wells: Under achieving - either of the Williams boys (I wouldn’t call them drivers) what a fall from grace that team has had, over achieving has to be Leclerc - surprise package of the season.
Valtteri Bottas, now on the softs, goes to the top of the times, thanks to a 1:18.470. Team-mate Lewis Hamilton has a nervous wobble, but no harm done.
"The Williams did not see me at all," says Fernando Alonso, but no damage to Alonso or any Williams.
Alonso seventh quickest so far with a 1:20.059, Lance Stroll in the Williams is 15th of 16 to set a time, with only newcomer Antonio Giovinazzi slower.
And just as I say that, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas get in their first laps of the day. First blood to Bottas, who is seven hundredths quicker than Hamilton, but still a long way to go.
Raikkonen first, Verstappen second then the Mercedes pair.
No times from either Mercedes man as of yet. Valtteri Bottas, denied a win last week after not being allowed to challenge Lewis Hamilton, says he is "full of energy" and has lots of people supporting him in Hungary.
