Rivlud: Mercedes not looking good currently, think Valtteri Bottas will start ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who will start 4th/5th. Wonderful to see the resurgence of Ferrari this season and really applying pressure and having the best car!

Mr Kevin Prior: If there is a wet qualifying then that’s Hamilton and Verstappen country. Hope it rains.

Bottas currently second (+0.450 behind Vettel), Hamilton fourth (+0.901)

That lap of 1:16.343 from Sebastian Vettel is looking an absolute cracker. Bottas is four tenths behind, Raikkonen seven tenths behind and Lewis Hamilton, who has just gone wide at Turn Nine, nine tenths behind.

Why call a team Force India? I heard that the Force bit stands for 'Formula One Race Engineering'... does anyone remember that story?

Your reaction to Force India going into administration

Jason Murtagh: Is it a foregone conclusion that the name Force India will be consigned to the history books if a new buyer is found?

JJ Jackson: Talking of wealthy father's, is there not a wealthy chap interested in a stake in McLaren?

Stoo G: Given that Force India were talking about dropping the Force India name earlier this year, it seems more than likely that any new owner would do so...

Even faster from Sebastian Vettel. He trims the best time down to 1:16.343. The German means business today.

Your reaction to Force India going into administration

Jennifer Harris: re comment by Blackburn Lad. The reason why Segio Perez might instigate proceedings against Force India is probably because he hasn't been paid.

Karen Waddy: Whatever happens to Force India, I hope they keep the bright pink livery. It's refreshing to see such a bold colour choice on the race track.

Amit Mandalia‏: I do wonder if Perez’s action is based on rumours of someone like Lawrence Stroll buying Force India and potentially replacing both drivers so maybe fearing losing his drive & then what is may be owed?

  16. 'Challenging weekend for the Force India team'published at 11:16 British Summer Time 28 July 2018

    Jolyon Palmer
Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live

When I was [test driver] for Lotus, we didn't have a hospitality box because the team didn't pay, and we had to scrounge around for food for the weekend. It's an uncomfortable situation to be in. In F1 we talk about the peak condition you have to be in, the mental and physical state - when you go into a race and you don't know if the team is actually going to run it's stressful.

When I was driving here in Hungary in 2015 in FP1 in we didn't have any tyres because Pirelli hadn't been paid, so I was there ready to race and we didn't have any tyres to put on the car. It's difficult for everyone because nobody really knows what's going on, and of course everyone wants to keep their jobs. So it's going to be a challenging weekend for the Force India team.

In comparison, Sebastian Vettel's best time yesterday was a 1:16.834 so that looks a pretty good start from the Finn.
