We could do with a safety car or a shower to spice things up. Hamilton, second at the moment, should have a massive lead when Sebastian Vettel has to dive into the pits.

    Lap 28/70

Daniel Ricciardo. Absolutely superb. Twelfth to 16th to fifth. Another stunning move, leaving it late to dive in the inside of Pierre Gasly.

We are only two more overtakes from what looked a very unlikely Shoey later on.

This is how the season has gone so far. Will Hamilton extend his title lead or will Vettel claw some points back or even take the lead himself today?

Jennie Gow: We know that Kimi Raikkonen doesn't have his water attached, it is scorching hot but will he put on a stiff upper lip and just get on with it?

Jolyon: He's got no choice, he will feel it afterwards. I never drank too much during the races, to stay hydrated is always important, some races I wouldn't have a drink at all but it's 33 degrees here today so it could make a difference to his performance.

I think we had a plan E in Bahrain when everything went out the window and suddenly it looked like Bottas might win the race, and Ferrari eventually won it after going from plan C to D to E.

  18. Ricciardo attacking Magnussenpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 29 July 2018

    Jolyon Palmer
Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live

That's a bold one from a long way back from Ricciardo, he couldn't pull it off there. Magnussen isn't going to make this easy, he did very well there not to turn into the apex, it was a bit late from Ricciardo and would've been a crash otherwise.

And again. Magnussen defends first time, but Ricciardo has too much power and another attack gets the result he wanted. Round the outside the Australian goes. Up into sixth he goes.

Daniel Ricciardo attacks Kevin Magnussen, who had only recently dropped behind Kimi Raikkonen.

Ricciardo goes down the inside, but Magnussen is in no mood to roll over. He holds him off at one, no, two corners. A good battle, some of the best racing so far today. Sixth place is the prize.
