That five-second penalty comes back to haunt Max Verstappen. He finishes third on the track, but that is only fifth in reality with Valtteri Bottas bumped up to third and Sebastian Vettel bumped up to fourth.

  2. Raikkonen secondpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 2 September 2018

A race of what might have been for Kimi Raikkonen. His hopes of his first win in more than five years and Ferrari's first win at Monza since 2010 dashed.

Kimi Raikkonen's tyres are falling to pieces. Ferrari pitted eight laps earlier than Hamilton and it's really hurting Raikkonen. He's almost the slowest car out there. He's just got to be tentative and stay away from the kerbs.

When Max watches that incident back, I think he'll realise that he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

It's immature from Verstappen. The penalty is deserved. All the battling he's been doing has cost him too much time anyway. He's going to end up down in fifth.

All the time Max Verstappen refuses to let Valtteri Bottas pass him, it is good news for Sebastian Vettel. An eventful race for Vettel could well see him end fourth.

It is a brilliant, brilliant move from Lewis Hamilton, who goes round the outside. Kimi Raikkonen has to sit and watch, anything else would have taken both him and Hamilton out of the race.

A clap of the hands from Toto Wolff, a bang of the desk in celebration.
