Jeremiah Kariuki: Best starting fight is between Ricciardo and Norris. Exciting. #F1, external#BritishGP, external#BritishGrandPrix, external#BBCF1, external
Lando did say before the race his main goal was to get past Ricciardo, the British driver taking immediate action in his first home Grand Prix!
Lap 8/52
The two Mercedes drivers are very much in a battle of their own with third-place Charles Leclerc 3.2 seconds down the road.
Meanwhile, Kevin Magnussen is in the pits again. Looks like it is race over. Big shame for the K-Mag.
Lap 7/52
"Lewis has DRS and one second."
Lap 6/52
Bottas is starting to pull away a little bit after that tussle with his team-mate - there are eight tenths of a second between the two.

Amit Mandalia: What happened to both Haas cars? @bbcf1, external#bbcF1, external
Both Haas touched with each other coming onto the main straight and came into the pits following the incident, dropping them to the back of the pack.

Oh Lewis! He thought he had done it! He had done the move out of Luffield but he didn't cover it - he made the move and then he let Bottas through at Copse corner.

Both Haas have pitted are going into one another. Gunther Steiner the team principal will be tearing his hair out.
Lap 5/52
Oh my! Sensational racing!
Hamilton makes his move at Brooklands - listen to the roar as the Briton moves alongside his team-mate and into the lead!
But wait, Bottas isn't giving up yet and he fights back immediately, passing on the outside of Luffield. The Finn is back in the lead.
What a battle we have on the cards here.
Lap 4/52
Hamilton is still second but he is not giving Bottas a moments respite. He's primed to attack at any moment.

One of the best starts off the line came from Carlos Sainz. He was 13th and behind both of the Alfa Romeos but jumped them early on, overtaking Raikkonen almost immediately.
Lap 3/52
Drama towards the back of the grid and it involves both Haas cars. Looks like there's been contact and both Grosjean and Magnussen pit for new tyres. Looked like they picked up punctures.
Lap 2/52
Ooooh that's tight!
Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo are wheel-to-wheel through Copse. Norris, though, is the winner of that battle as he takes seventh!

Hamilton tried to take the outside line to try and put pressure on his team-mate. But Bottas has done his job for now.

Perfect job by Valtteri Bottas.
Lap 1/52
Perfect start by Bottas as he holds off Hamilton at the first corner.
Everyone else has got away without any drama too.
Lovely moment as Charlie Whiting's son, Justin, has the honour of starting this race.
