Pole sitter Charles Leclerc says: "The car felt amazing. It definitely feels great to be back on pole but I don't know if it's the best track to start on pole, the start is very very important."

For stat purposes, Michael Schumacher was the last Ferrari driver to get four poles in a row. How does Leclerc feel?

"It feels very special but yeah I don't want think about those stats now I just want to focus on the job. It's a long way to go tomorrow we've been confident all weekend long and it looks good for now."

Sebastian Vettel who is last week's winner in Singapore, starts P3 tomorrow. "I'm not entirely happy I think I couldn't extract the maximum of the car" he says.

"By the time I got to Q3 I thought it was ok. Turn One is a long way and we're on different tyre strategies so the race will be decided tomorrow. The speed is there so lets keep it up.

"Here, first you need a good start then you worry about the rest. There is potentially an advantage if you start from behind but let's see what happens."
