Wait, wait, wait. Lewis Hamilton has had his time deleted for exceeding track limits at Turn 18.
That means Daniel Ricciardo is quickest with 1:32.218 ahead of Carlos Sainz (1:32.757) and Sergio Perez (1:33.038).
Valtteri Bottas is first across the line with 1:33.056 but Lewis Hamilton comes across and is a meaty eight tenths quicker than his team-mate. Something not go quite right in that lap for Bottas?
"Some drops of rain."

Everyone's gone out very early this session which is a sign that everyone wants to set a lap time before it rains.
"There is going to be some sort of traffic jam at the end of the lap."
Both Mercedes are straight out in this session. They are on mediums. Actually, everyone is quick to head back out with some grey clouds looming in the distance. Rain on its way?

Away we go with the second part of qualifying.

Kayleigh: I don’t think that’s really Grosjean. It’s an imposter. Grosjean doesn’t do happy.
Rachel T: Goooooo on George!!!!
Jake: Am I the only one seeing the gap between Ricciardo and Ocon and thinking Alonso is going to tear him apart next year?

There was a big gap from Grosjean to the Ferraris showing the huge difference in pace between the mid-pack and the back of the field.
"Q2, I've missed you! Good job guys."
"Thanks everyone, that's the best car I had."

Pirelli are thinking it's a huge advantage if you can start this race on the medium tyres. The softs ones they don't think are the ones to be on, they'll only get you 14 laps into the race and it's a real push to get the hards to go that far as your second stint with only one pit stop.

Nicholas Latifi is a long way from George Russell. Ferrari have got two cars into Q2 but as I predicted it was very tight for them.
16) Grosjean
17) Giovinazzi
18) Magnussen
19) Latifi
20) Raikkonen
Sebastian Vettel scrapes through with the 15th quickest time, Charles Leclerc 14th - bit close! George Russell is 13th quickest and through to Q2!
Kimi Raikkonen is in trouble. He is is creeping round Turn Two and running very slowly generally.
Lewis Hamilton (second), Sergio Perez (third), Carlos Sainz (fourth) and Charles Leclerc (sixth) are the only drivers giving another run out in this session a miss as they are happy enough that they are through to Q2.
