Ricciardo's got himself a five second time penalty by not following the regulations and going through the designated bollards after running wide at turn two. That one feels stupid.
A penalty for the Australian. Failing to follow the race director's instructions is the official wording as he's gone off the track when overtaking Esteban Ocon and not gone the way he should have done.
Lap 27/53
Daniel Ricciardo is under investigation. He got racey with team-mate Esteban Ocon but may have gone too far off track to overtake his fellow Renault man.
Bottas leads, Hamilton fifth after penalty
Chris: Hamilton knows what Verstappen feels like on most Sundays with a lonely drive today!
James Beswick: Lewis is a fantastic driver, but my goodness he acts like a child sometimes. He is 35, but has the same attitude as a toddler who doesn't want to go to bed whenever things don't go his way.
Rachel T: Of COURSE Lewis Hamilton is fed up, how else is he supposed to feel?! The man is only interested in winning, which is why he has 90 race victories!
Lap 27/53
No problems for Valtteri Bottas on his pitstop. He pitted from the front and comes back out in the front. We're past the halfway-point and only a mechanical issue or driver error looks to be the only thing that can stop him now.
A flawless pit stop from Max Verstappen. He's now pitted and still ahead of Lewis Hamilton. He's in effect second.

Gasly could still score points in this race, he's currently 12th but there's some guys ahead of him that still need to pit. He's currently close behind Alex Albon.
Lewis Hamilton: With me stopping so early I have to manage now. I'll struggle to make it to the end. I don't want any info anymore. It doesn't make any difference.
Mercedes to Valtteri Bottas: The longer we can go on this tyre the more it will protect us from safety cars.
Lap 25/53
Max Verstappen is second and there's no-one near him. Bottas is eight seconds up the road, Leclerc 21 seconds behind him.
In nine races this season, the Dutchman's been on the podium six times, winning once and failed to finish on three occasions.
It's all or nothing for Max. That record looks to be continuing now.

Ocon is still behind the Ferrari of Vettel, a car that barely made it into Q2 yesterday, he's getting held up here which is really costing him track position to Perez.
Lap 23/53
Hamilton on the charge is always a thing of beauty. He came back out in 11th after that 10-second double-penalty, 10 minutes later and he's up to fifth. Nine seconds behind fourth-placed Daniil Kvyat, who will soon see the Mercedes in his mirrors.
Bottas leads after Hamilton penalty
Mark Robins: Best news for Hamilton would be those in front to pit then a red flag for grid re start.
Ben Wire: Not good, but now we get to see Hamilton really drive. Game on.
quixoticgeek: Hamilton overtaking Vettel, is like watching him take candy from a baby... How is that Ferrari so slow?
Lap 22/53
Valtteri Bottas improves his own fastest lap time. He won the season opener in Austria in June and this one is his for the taking. He's seven seconds clear of Verstappen, with neither man having stopped just yet.

Update on Carlos Sainz after he had that big crash at the start. He had to go to the medical centre but his team say he is OK and he is back in the paddock with them.
By the way, Lewis Hamilton went on to the hards during that penalty and has already got ahead of a few. He's seventh and on the charge. Magnussen and Kvyat probably won't prove too tricky either.
Elsewhere, Williams hunt for a first point of the season looks like continuing. Nicholas Latifi is 17th, George Russell 18th, the last two still running.
Lap 19/53
Bottas, now with no-one in front of him, has set the fastest lap of 1:39.375. That will be an extra bonus point for the Finn if no-one can beat that lap.
