  8. So the session is stopped with eight minutes 51 seconds left on the clock, which is now paused.

    Ricciardo, Gasly and Kvyat have not set times, while Hamilton's is 31 seconds slower than Valtteri Bottas'.

    Hamilton's spin was similar to Latifi's spin in Q1. Just on the throttle, steering lock on, medium tyres and a little less grip and just backing it through the gravel. Hamilton wants to start the race on those tyres but that wont help his cause one bit.

  10. We've got nine minutes left of Q2. That could've been much, much worse for Hamilton as qualifying is still very much alive for him.

    At Luffield, Hamilton spins. He can carry on but needs to go again.

  14. That seems a gamble from Ferrari and Charles Leclerc considering their pace has not been amazing this weekend.

    Leclerc is on the mediums, Vettel on the softs.

    Most drivers are going out on the medium tyres. The soft tyre not the favoured one, just like Hungary last time out.

  16. A few trying to start the race on the mediums. Bottas, Hamilton, Verstappen, Stroll, Hulkenberg, Leclerc and Albon all on the mediums at the beginning of Q2. It's always a good move if the gamble works, you look a bit silly if it doesn't.

  17. Q2 is under way. Fifteen minutes and the top 10 advance into Q3 for a battle for pole.

    Remember, those who advance will start the race on whatever tyre they set their best time on in this phase of qualifying.

  18. Race control say that Russell incident will be investigated afterwards. Going to be some nervous moments in the Williams team.

  20. Penalty for Russell?

    It might not all be great news for George Russell though as he's been picked up for not slowing under yellow flags, after his team-mate Nicholas Latifi went off. As it stands, Russell is at worst 15th, but if that changes we will let you know. One for the stewards.
