That will be music to Perez's ears because he is very, very strong at that.

"We're looking to go long here, Checo."
The two Williams are the last two of the 19 still running and they've just switched positions with Nicholas Latifi too quick for George Russell.
He qualified 11th yesterday and there were hopes of him claiming his first point while driving for Williams, but the wait goes on.
Can Red Bull produce some tactical wizardry to deny Mercedes a one-two here? It's thinking outside of the box time.
"If the gap grows above 3.5, we'll stop first."

Looking at Lance Stroll in the Aston Martin. He is in seventh and is on the soft tyre, he has done 27 laps on it so the teams will be looking at his information to decide what they do - do they go soft for the front runners? Do they put the hard on the front runners? That is the question the strategists will be running through their computers.
Hamilton sets the fastest lap, after he had done the same in the previous one. He's pulling away with this one, just as he did here in October.
"You've got the pace, yeah."

Two seconds - Hamilton to Bottas. He is not disappearing but the problem Verstappen has is he still has a Mercedes in front of him and he can't pass Bottas. Hamilton has got himself nicely away from an undercut range from Verstappen.
Valtteri Bottas is in more danger of losing second than he is of regaining the lead at the moment. Verstappen half a second behind Bottas and looking dangerous.
"Hamilton has free air. Still only a 22.6, Max. A long way to go."
It's 96 wins to Lewis Hamilton's name. You'd be brave to bet against him making it 97. But, we're still only in the first half of this one and there's plenty more to come.

Is this Hamilton playing games again? He is saying the tyres are shot but is this trying to force the Red Bull hand, force Bottas' hand? The pit is going to be so crucial, 25 seconds is the length of the stop - a big loss.
"Tyres are... pretty shot."
Full credit to Mercedes, they could have easily forced Valtteri Bottas to move over to hand the lead to Lewis Hamilton.
They didn't and that made it more special with Hamilton's brilliant overtake.
There would've been some hearts in mouths as Hamilton went wide to attack, but Mercedes had faith in both men keeping it clean.
Let the best driver win. Just as it should be.
Hamilton passed Bottas at the same circuit last year for the lead and then ran away with it, finishing 25.592 seconds clear of his team-mate in second. Will history repeat itself this year?

So much commitment, so much faith in Bottas not to snatch a wheel under the brakes and run both Mercedes wide into the gravel. That must have been so close to them both ending up in tears. What a move for the lead.
Hamilton sweeps around the outside of Valtteri Bottas. That's the lead. That could be the defining moment of this race. Hamilton leads the championship and now leads the race. Brilliant move.
As a recovery drive, this is something special from Daniel Ricciardo, who now gets himself into the top 10 after starting in the bottom five.
