The time that put Carlos Sainz at the head of the field tells you everything you need to know about the conditions qualifying took place in last year.
Qualifying last year was a thriller in the rain as Carlos Sainz snatched pole position away from Max Verstappen with his last lap of the session.
Red Bull's Verstappen topped the first two sessions and looked in control in treacherous conditions but the Ferrari of Sainz snuck ahead by just 0.072 seconds at the end of the top-10 shootout.
Charles Leclerc brought the second Ferrari home in third, Verstappen's team-mate Sergio Perez was fourth and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton was fifth.
A warm welcome back to the F1 paddock to Jennie Gow, who has sat down with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to have a chat before this weekend's British Grand Prix.
Jennie is doing her first interview since suffering a serious stroke in December and said she felt "a little bit nervous and emotional" about the meeting.
"When I heard you were coming, I was so happy," Lewis tells Jennie. "I can't imagine what you have been through, so to see you smiling and bringing positive energy, it's inspiring."
They discuss his desire to win an eighth title, where he gets his motivation from and being involved with a Hollywood movie.
Can Logan Sargeant pull at least one qualifying session back on Williams team-mate Alex Albon? Lando Norris is also thumping his rookie team-mate Oscar Piastri over at McLaren.

Only 30 minutes to go until Q1 goes green.
The fans may have hoods and brollies up in this photo but the weather is looking a bit more settled now for qualifying.
George Russell has also had a couple of qualifying shocks of his own this season, failing to make the pole position scrap in Baku, Spain and at last week's session at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Sergio Perez was back on the podium in Spielberg but the Mexican driver had to battle his way through the field to claim his place after lining up 15th on the grid for the Austrian Grand Prix.
Perez failed to make the top 10 for a fourth straight race last weekend when he repeatedly fell foul of restrictions on track limits and had a series of laps deleted.
On Thursday, Perez said it is possible his side of the Red Bull garage are back to the form they had earlier on in the season. "I think we just had a bad few races," he added. "
"We understand why now and hopefully we are able to keep this consistency going forwards, until the end of the year, basically."
Max Verstappen's tally of pole positions is growing and last weekend in front of the mass of orange-clad fans, the Dutchman secured the 26th front-row spot of his career at the Red Bull Ring.
The two-time world champion had to fend off the challenge from Charles Leclerc and was just 0.048 seconds clear of the Ferrari driver at the end of the shootout.
Carlos Sainz completed a positive day's work for the Scuderia by qualifying in third place, while Lando Norris delivered McLaren a Saturday to celebrate by putting his upgraded car fourth on the grid.

Big engines, high speeds and events all across the world come to mind when you think of Formula 1.
But the sport has a target of being carbon-neutral by 2030 - removing as much carbon dioxide from the environment as it puts into it.
For F1, this includes changes to things such as travel, as well as technological advances like cleaner engines.
Some fans think this will be a tough target to hit without reducing the power and excitement of the races.
So is it realistic? McLaren driver Lando Norris thinks so.
"They are doing as much as they can. Everything really starts with the fuels that we use, that's the big thing.
"I'm not saying it's a good thing, but the actual pollution that comes from us driving the cars that we do is minimal compared to the travel side of things," he tells BBC Newsbeat.

It's incredible! They're actually filming in the pit lane. We've got several cameramen getting shots of four actors and actresses on the pit wall.
Actors are on the pit wall at the moment, and they're getting a real dose of what it's really like to go racing at Silverstone. The rain is teeming down in the pit lane but the actors and actresses aren't going anywhere.
They've also got the timing boards that you often see members of the team hanging over the pit wall and there's one for Pierce and one for Hayes, Hayes being the character that Brad Pitt is playing.
It's all very high-spec and it's all very realistic. It's just like watching an eleventh team. As you head into the pit lane and look into the garages you could be fooled for thinking this is a fully-fledged formula one team such is the setup.
This picture of Lewis Hamilton was actually taken this morning - just as the dark clouds appeared in FP3. You could easily mistake it for a night race.

Pierre Gasly is hoping for a little bit more rain this afternoon. I think a few drivers would like that jeopardy this afternoon, maybe giving them a chance to start further up the order come tomorrow afternoon's British Grand Prix.

The rain-affected session was topped by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc on the soft tyres, however, championship leader Max Verstappen set his quickest time on the medium compound and did not get to test out the softs before the weather interruption.
Zhou Guanyu had issues with his Alfa Romeo in the final hour of practice, so fingers crossed the team can get the Chinese driver back up and running for qualifying later.
Hello again, folks.
What will the weather bring us in the next few hours?

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in final practice at the British Grand Prix before the session was interrupted by rain.
Leclerc was 0.173 seconds faster than the Williams of Alex Albon, who was also one of the last drivers to run before the rain arrived at Silverstone.
Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin was third, from Alpine’s Pierre Gasly.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was fifth, and he had been fastest of all after the first runs before the drivers ahead of him tried their cars in more like qualifying trim.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who appeared in a league of his own in the hot conditions on Friday, was eighth fastest, having set his best time on the medium tyre rather than the soft compound used by everyone ahead of him.
When the rain initially hit, Leclerc stayed out on his slick tyres for a couple of laps after the other drivers came into the pits.
The intention seemed to be for the Ferrari driver to learn about the car in damp conditions, in which he has admitted he has been struggling in the last three races.
He said on arrival at Silverstone that he and the team had been conducting analysis in an attempt to understand what he has been doing wrong.
In the wet second half of the session, Verstappen was fastest in intermediate tyres, with Hamilton the closest to him but still well over a second behind.
The mixed weather is expected to continue through the afternoon, with qualifying due to start at 15:00 local time.
The rain came before Max Verstappen could put down a lap on the sift tyres, so the Dutchman is out of place on the third practice timesheets.
Hands up if you're hoping for a wet qualifying? Or would you rather a dry running for the fight for pole position?
The weather has a bit of time to change before Q1 goes green, so go and grab yourselves a break and come back and join us for build-up at 14:00 BST.
